I've been coming to Mont Blanc Pastry for more than twenty years and never been disappointed. Actually the opposite, it is the best in Chicagoland area. Many new fancy pastry shops may appear with very charming decorative pieces but the taste cannot be compare what Mont Blanc Pastry can offer their moist and delicately well balanced sweet cakes.
I am really skeptic about Mr. Patrick Jin's recent review: Mont Blanc Pastry doesn't offer slides and if your wife was sick after consumed their cakes or pastries then why didn't you contact the owner of the store? I am sure they would be more than happy to compensate you. Since your review was posted a week ago (the weather here has been very humid and hot) so if you didn't store pieces you bought properly (you didn't indicate when she consumed), they would be naturally gone bad. You never mentioned about what pieces you had either.
I typically get around ten birthday cakes each year and several individually wrapped pieces.
I realize it is very easy for anyone to post untrustworthy reviews on public website to bring down many honest small shop like Mont Blanc Patry.
Thank you for all your delicious beautiful cakes and I am looking forward to pick another one in...

The staff, particularly the lady I spoke with, was incredibly helpful, providing detailed information on ordering and flavors. My check was 18$ for 3 pieces I ended up purchasing three different mouse cakes to sample. Overall, I'd rate the taste a 4 out of 5. While they weren't my absolute favorite, they were certainly well-made and could easily appeal to others' preferences. My main expectation was to see a wider variety of pastries readily available in the shop window, but the ordering system does...
Read moreBeen a customer for nearly 2 decades. Disappointed that the ownership changed hands some time ago and although the quality of the cake hadn't changed, the customer service and attentiveness seriously tanked. Called to place an order and had some questions; was told that they will need to call me back because they had 'customers in the store' and hung up on me. As though I wasn't a customer? Short staffing in these times (although it's always been a bit lean there) is understandable; I wouldn't have minded holding. My call log reflected my conversation was just under 3 minutes long. They called back over an hour later which gave me more than enough time to place an order with Pastry House Hippo, which is in Mitsuwa...
