Papa Rays Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Elk Grove Township

I don't write review often but had to after my experience. I ordered wings and rib tips for pickup with Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero and Teriyaki. Got home to find there was only two small sauce containers and both were teriyaki. I called to ask if I missed a bag possibly with the other sauces. After putting me on hold, the lady came back and told me they did forget the lemon pepper but gave me the mango habanero. I told her both containers were teriyaki which she then began arguing with me saying that that wasn't true and I was given the mango habanero. I wasn't asking for my money back or anything, I just wanted what I ordered. She said she would have to speak with her manager about what she can do. I asked if I could just pick up the missing sauces and she said she has to speak with her manager and they would call me back another time... (I still haven't received a call back after few days now) Why was fixing missing sauces that big of a deal??? I tried Papa Ray's for the first time about two weeks ago. I ordered a slice of their sausage pizza and chicken wings to go for myself and my mom. It was a weekday night around 8-830 p.m. I waited 20-something minutes for my food to be ready and the person behind the counter was very nice. The food was nothing special. Typical bar food. But I want to say three or maybe four hours later on that night I got pain in my stomach that I've never felt before, maybe ten minutes later I became violently ill and won't get into any more details but I was very close to going to the ER because of what I was dealing with. I was sick and in pain for the next 24-36 hours. I found out the next day that my mom also felt stomach pain and nauseous but luckily it wasn't nearly as bad. The only thing we had eaten that night was from this establishment and it was too much of a coincidence that we both felt the way we did with what was clearly food poisoning symptoms. I'll never go there again and don't want any type of reimbursement. I just want to warn those who might think of going that you might want to go...

I drive a truck and had a pick up in the area Monday afternoon which unfortunately wasn't going to be ready till Tuesday morning so I had to get something to eat. I called Papa Rays and the nicest lady Jenny answered the phone to take my order. She definitely is all about customer service! My pizza showed up rather quickly and was delivered by Greg who also was very friendly and is very customer oriented. Now for the pizza! OMG! I ordered a large Hawaiian and dang it was huge! I loved the tomato sauce and the crust was perfectly done! Everytime I'm stuck in an area I always go to a either family/ small business restaurant or something local as the big franchises don't need my money. If I'm back in the area again, I WILL be calling this location again and ordering two as I can take one home. Thanks y'all for a great pizza and customer service and if the boss is reading this, please give these two employees a raise because you don't want to lose them!
