This is my comment for/from last year as a Grilling and Frying only Chicken related (Not fries) and sometimes as a cashier too
I used to be a cashier, I would always love ti help out the customer and their experience for this location, I would always love to make people happy and enjoy and help little kids with their excitement, Although the manager Giselle does love to interrupt my peace and thinking I don’t know what to do or like I am new this even tho I been working for 7 months in McDonald’s
I used to work at McDonald’s on Elk Grove Blvd, and the afternoon shift manager's name was Giselle. However, Giselle was not very helpful and would often just sit at the computer. Meanwhile, my African American coworker would frequently be on the phone instead of doing their job. Despite noticing this, Giselle chose to ignore it and expected me to handle the grilling and frying tasks, which was supposed to be my coworker's responsibility. This caused me to become very tired every day.
My best manager of all time is Jean. He is very fast, hardworking, cheerful, and loves to make people happy. Sometimes he would correct me if I made a mistake while performing a task, and I appreciated learning from him.
I remember my first day on the job when I was clueless about what to do, and there were too many workers around, making it hard for me to find a place to work. I couldn't remember the name of the manager, but I'm pretty sure the supervisor's name was Jennifer. She yelled at me for standing around doing nothing and instructed me to do the task of making the round bread for the Big Breakfast with HotCakes. So, I did the task as Jennifer had shown me, but she proceeded to yell at me for making the bread wrong, even though she had not been very clear about how to do...
Read moreA return to the classic McDonald’s experience. Avoid this location.
I placed a mobile order after having great experiences in Folsom all last month. After twenty minutes of waiting at the curb I went in to see what was going on.
I saw burgers as well as stacks and stacks of fries under the heat lamps. There was a confused manager handing food out to the wrong tickets, and the place was untidy.
Morbid curiosity made me sit in the vehicle and wait another six minutes for my food to arrive.
Sure enough, it looks like this location is not participating in the fresh meat program. The quarter pounder was dry, and had the distinguished McDonald’s taste from frozen beef sitting on the counter too long. The bread was not fresh and all the fixings were just slapped on, with everything warmed to the same temperature.
The fries tasted as expected; reheated and definitely not fresh for at least an hour.
The chicken tenders were tough and over fried, and suddenly I remember why I go elsewhere when I’m craving a quick burger around here.
If you’re going to brave the food, don’t do it here before you’ve had a chance to step into the facility and see for yourself.
Definitely can not recommend this place for drive through or mobile order. Actually, won’t recommend this...
Read moreEdit: It seems they were in fact waiting to renovate this restaurant. I had given it 1 star, but I will give them their due. They did fix nearly every problem I mentioned. It is a better fast food place now.
I'll leave my original review below.
I am not impressed. We came here because I promised the kids we would go. They wanted to go to the play area.
So, why am I not impressed? Finding parking was a pain. I found out a large number of parking spaces were blocked off while they were waiting for a truck to deliver supplies. This large number of spaces was blocked off at noon on a Saturday. Good thinking. No one would go to Micky D's at lunch on a Saturday. I'm not sure if it is management or the shipping company that should be spanked, but someone should at least have a talking to...
Next, the franchisee need to take a few bucks from the Dollar Menu and put them back into the facilities. Nearly all vinyl seats have rips or tears in them. The worst was a booth near the play area. While I was there, during a busy time, three families looked at it, made a face, and then looked for another place to sit. I'll post a pic if I figure out how...
This was not an...
