If I could leave this place less than one star, trust me, I would. Their lack of self-awareness and blaming customers for being unfamiliar with their menu is abysmal. There is one particular wait staff member, who I believe is also a family member, that must be why she gets away with treating paying customers like dirt. She always tries to upsell customers and then will follow you for not knowing what comes in your entrée or a particular menu item. When you try to contest that this is not what you ordered, she will try to bully you into paying for something that you did not order. When you try to defend yourself, she continues to belittle you with comments such as "oh my God" and "no, you listen to me". To their credit, the food is good, but who wants to eat in an environment where you feel like you're going to be bullied into paying for things you specifically did not order and then you will have to fight with the staff before you can pay and leave. This particular waiting staff named Sabina had to be held back by another waiting stuff, when she charged at my sister, and the manager had to get involved, it's a shame that they can't keep a leash on...
Read moreI love this cute restaurant! I've been to their first location on K Street and was so excited to visit their new location in Elk Grove. I always get the falafel tacos, Mediterranean nachos, and chicken kabob plate. The tacos don't come with rice or salad. I usually order a side of rice and salad because the rice is delicious and the salad is tasty. This is my boyfriend's favorite spot. Good thing we don't live around the corner or we'd be here everyday. He loves the fluffy rice too and it's especially good with the chicken kabob plate as the chicken sits on top of the rice. The falafel is light and not dense at all, which can be hit or miss at other restaurants. I love the different sauce options too! Some times I lean towards the chipotle sauce, some times the garlic or tzatziki ones. Varies with the dish!
The nachos are my favorite item. The nachos come with fried pita chips that are perfectly crisp and light. They're never hard or stale, just perfection.
Go visit them! They're wonderful and lovely people and make...
Read moreSome great dishes but some mediocre. Stick with what they do best and you'll have a great experience. Deserves a 5/5 for how good their best dishes
Pita: light and fluffy, very solid Rice: quite dry and pretty bland
Proteins Garlic chicken: only very lightly garlic but well seasoned with salt and pepper and very moist. Lamb gyro: juicy pieces with lots of flavor. Not very gamey which is a plus for me. Beef shawarma: fairly bland seasoning and dry Falafel: very dry though crispy as a plus. Don't recommend overall Chicken Shawarma: was not as dry and better seasoned than the beef, pretty good but I rate the garlic higher
Sauces: Garlic sauce: really flavorful with nice sourness, best one Chipotle: medium spicy, very smoky and tart Creamy jalapeno: lightly spicy with a lot of cilantro flavor Tzatziki: very bland, do...
