McDonald's — Restaurant in Elk Grove

I ordered 2 large fries in the drive-thru and they were a little overcooked. Half way home is when I realized so I turned around and brought my crunchy fries inside for an exchange. I went inside with a calm attitude and I was greeted very quickly by the cashier. The young gentleman at the register was very polite and sincere. After he took my fries to the back he then came out to the lobby and told me that they dropped some fresh fries and they will be ready soon. He apologized for the situation in a very considerate way, as if he had overcooked the fries himself. I told him it's no problem it happens sometimes. He smiled and nodded them went to help the next customer. I was surprised to see that kind of professionalism from a cashier that young of an age who works at McDonald's.🖒🖒 I was upset that I had to turn around for my 2 large fries that were GOLDEN BROWN. But between the excellent customer service and the ice cream cone that was offered to me by a wonderful lady manger, I left there pleased and satisfied with no intentions for anything but 2 large fries that we all crave for every now and again. I know it's just fries but I wasn't satisfied with them and they took care of the problem very well and with a since of urgency. Thanks for the generosity from the whole McDonald's...

First I would like to begin my review by saying in no way am I looking to put anyone down. However, the service and response of service here was horrible! My initial concern was an employee working on assembling the food "table" was grabbing all the meat with his hands and when I brought it up to the manager she responded by "I know. We just forget sometimes when we are very busy". I like her standing up for her workers but in no way is that ok. Secondly when I went through the drive through, I placed my order for a big mac meal with bacon and they did not put bacon on it. Also I asked for nuggets with Mac sauce as the Nugget dipping sauce and they gave me barbecue. When bringing it up to the drive thru employee I said I would like extra Mac sauce and I'd pay for it if need be. As I brought this up to her she just glanced at me with a certain upset look. I get they were busy. I used to work at a McDonald's for 6 years. A manager for 5 so I get how things can be. But I definitely think my service and their response could have been managed differently. I can certainly say I will not be going...

This is just one of three McDonald's that are owned by the Golden State Restaurant Group in this part of town this is probably the best one with the in terms of the service because they all have them not the best service they cut down on employees supposedly because inflation but then they triple the price of everything and they cut corners on things like the janky straws they use now instead of the big white that we were used for McDonald's now they have the generic ones and they cut corners on straws and they think we don't notice it's pretty sad who knows where they're cutting quarters in the kitchen when preparing the food not that it was ever the best food to begin with but now that it's the same price as everywhere else why go here the convenience of the old McDonald's is no longer here and now it's Cost Triple Golden state resteraunt used to have all the ammentirites one would expect from a family owned business but here we are a couple Generations later and it just lost all it's luster...
