The late hours (post-lockdown era i.e. closing midnight or later) are welcoming to us night owls when our only real choices are Arby's and Taco Bell. The location on CR 17 has always been on point with their service even when the Arby's online ordering system has not. Tonight was a case in point. I ordered from their website (not the app) without registering for an account. As often as I eat there I didn't see the need for it especially if they don't require it. Prior to submitting my order they ask when I'll be picking it up. Their system allows you to choose times in fifteen minutes increments. I chose 11:30 PM. I arrived at the drive-thru at 11:20 thinking it can't possibly be an issue to arrive early. When I was asked to order I stated that I had an online order to which they replied that they had not received any info on it. I said that I had an email confirmation outlining the order's items and suggested that they just take my email and make it. The store manager agreed and also gave me a 15% discount for my troubles but she was going to have to charge me again but said I just needed to request a refund through the app. I agreed thinking that was reasonable and thanked her as I wasn't expecting a discount. Seconds after charging me again she shockingly said that my order just popped up on her screen! The time was 11:25 PM, five minutes before my scheduled pickup time. Apparently the stores are only notified of the order five minutes beforehand. Any earlier than that and the store is completely in the dark about your order; it doesn't exist six minutes early!! Anyways, the food was decent at best but the way she conducted herself on behalf of the company was appropriate and sympathetic. When I return again it will be because of the service,...
Read more060722 - Absolutely the slowest drive thru in Elkhart... they take an order, take the money, fill the order, and wait for that customer to pull away - before they take another order. I told the drive thru guy that 3 people pulled off, while I was waiting in line - his reply was "that happens at times," and " if I take more than 1 order at a time it gets too crazy for him." Keep in mind, he has 2 runners getting his food, so all he has to do is take an order, take money, give change, and hand the customer their food.
The food quality have suffered severely as well. The roast beef sandwiches on have 1/3 of the meat they should, and stale buns...
I used to stop after work 3-5 times every week... when I had the mentioned experience over a month ago, I haven't been back until tonight... the drive thru and overall service and food quality is absurd.
Previous 5 Star Review is NOW 1 STAR, which is more than they deserve. Regardless of staff issues, pandemic, or anything else - if mgmt can't maintain service and food quality standards, the restaurant shouldn't be open at all!!
Previous Review Below - prior to new mgmt and untrained, inexperienced crew
Drive Thru ONLY - but, Super Fast & Friendly Service!! Fresh...
Read moreThis is one of the best arby's in the area. Food comes out quick and the orders are correct every time. I took two stars off because on my last trip through the drive thru one of the employees was outside the backdoor on her phone. During the minute or so that I had my window down to place my order she dropped the F word about 5 times that I could easily hear. She is lucky I didn't have a kid with me or I would have called her out on it right there. After I rolled the window up she was on the phone for the whole 4 or 5 minutes I was in the drive thru and one can assume many more f bombs followed. I dont think that back door is a good place to have personal phone calls when there are 6 cars in the drive thru lane, every one of them can hear you and you cuss...
