This place is really unique! It's a basement bar! If you go to the front entrance, you're transported back in time, to what feels like an old town neighborhood main street. It's filled with a few little niche shops, a tattoo parlor, etc. They all have old-fashioned, looking store fronts. You won't find Bernie's on the main street, but you'll hear the crowds bellowing from below. Follow the stairs downward, and you'll find yourself below ground wondering if you'll ever return to the world above! I'm kidding. They won't force you to stay, but you'll want to. It was my 3rd time here, I was hanging with a friend and needed some food in my belly. The bar is surprisingly big, and there's ample seating for those who want a table to sit at. Family-friendly atmosphere, as well. Amanda came over and told us about a new spicy chicken sandwich special. I forgot what she called it, but I know there was a name for it. A fresh, crispy, batter dipped chicken breast slathered in this delectable spicy sauce and topped with a hand-made coleslaw. 😋 It was the perfect amount of heat. The batter was crispy and delicious. Combine this with their delicious fries, and you have a meal that will keep your taste buds wanting more! Great crowd, reasonable drink prices, and good service. This place hits all the marks for a great night out. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—lively without being so loud you can’t have a conversation. The bartenders are quick, friendly, and actually know their craft (they’ll happily make recommendations if you’re stuck between options).

Drinks are strong but well-balanced—definitely not the watered-down cocktails you find at some places. I tried the [insert drink, e.g. “smoked old fashioned”], and it was easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. They also have a nice selection of beers on tap if cocktails aren’t your thing.

The crowd was a good mix—laid-back, fun, and not pretentious. It felt like the kind of place you can bring a group of friends or just stop in for a casual drink after work. Bonus points for the clean bathrooms (always a big deal at bars).

We must have picked the wrong night to visit. We walked in and ordered two drinks and two wraps at the bar. We got our drinks quickly but the food seemed to take forever and the place was not busy. The bartender kept on going into the kitchen to vape, blowing his cloud throughout the kitchen. After 30 minutes with no food and no drink refills I was going to ask him how much longer but when I turned around his hand was down his pants scratching his butt then I had to leave.
