I can't lie, I'm excited to write this review. I am extremely particular on my fish fry. I did an order to go of both baked and fried fish. The fried came with three pieces, the baked came with four, but they would equal to about the same I would say. It was a good portion. On the note of the taste. The fried was honestly phenomenal. The tartar sauce was fantastic I'm very particular on my tartar sauce and I was very very satisfied with it. Nice and light and Flaky fish absolutely zero complaints. The baked what's good. I could absolutely see that they took the time to season the fish, which I apologize for not submitting photos I pretty much got home and dished it out to the family. Like I said before, I am extremely particular on my fish. The baked was good. I genuinely did like it. Like normal I added salt and pepper but that is all that I NEEDED to add. However, I'm not in the culinary field so I'm not sure what the acceptance on seasoning is. With that in mind though, I would 100% try to add a little bit of Dill and a little bit of garlic seasoning to the baked. Probably pennies to the dollar if you get a large amount and would just give the baked fish just a little bit extra flavor.
Also the sides, I didn't get to try the applesauce because obviously I give that to my kiddos but I tried the coleslaw and that was amazing. Again like almost everything I added salt and pepper. But it was amazing compared to other coleslaws that I add salt and pepper to. I will say, if you're ordering the baked and you're getting a side of either potato pancakes or fries I would ask for them in a separate container and possibly pay a extra 25 or 50 Cent charge for the container because they actually have nice juicy baked fish and it kind of saturated the fries. Absolutely not complaining whatsoever. But figured I'd give everybody else a heads up.
Overall though, I will 100% be coming back for your Friday fish fries.
The only reason I did not do five stars, which normally if I don't like the backed, I do probably only two stars, but it was good baked fish. If they added just a little bit more seasoning I would 100% hit this with...
Read moreYou have to check this place out! We've lived in Elkhorn for a while now and always passed by, but we finally decided to stop in—and wow, we wish we had sooner! We visited during a quiet weekday afternoon, and everything was just perfect.
Right in the heart of Elkhorn, this charming diner-style restaurant feels warm and welcoming. Our server, Dolce, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
And the food? Incredible! From the very first bite, we knew we’d be coming back—and likely becoming regulars. The patty melt was absolutely delicious, and my fiancé couldn’t stop raving about his Elkhorn Greek skillet (especially with the added bacon and sausage).
On top of that, the place was spotless, which we really appreciated. Overall, just a great experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreVery disappointed with my meal. I ordered the potato soup and there was no potatoes in it, only a couple chunks of bacon. I also ordered my western burger with no bun as I'm diabetic and low carb, and they forgot the crispy onions and bbq sauce. When I pointed this out, our server did bring them out to me, however, the crispy onions were not crispy. They were chewy and stale. When she took my order, my server asked how I would like my burger to be cooked, and I said medium. My burger was well done. The interior is dull and the atmosphere lacks energy. I had hopes for this restaurant, but I will not be returning. My companion did enjoy his...
