On our road trip from Northern Virginia to Huntington, West Virginia, we had the pleasure of stopping at Tiptop for a coffee break. As a fan of classic flavors, I ordered a traditional cappuccino, while Dana opted for a latte with oat juice (oat milk isn’t really milk right?). From the very first sip, it was clear that Tiptop takes its coffee seriously – my cappuccino was perfectly balanced, offering a rich and creamy taste that was both comforting and invigorating.

Diana’s latte with oat juice was a delightful surprise. It’s not every day you find a coffee shop that can make such a delicious drink.

The barista who served us was exceptionally friendly, adding a personal touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. Along with the fantastic drinks, the food was equally impressive. Each bite was a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor.

But what truly set Tiptop apart was its atmosphere. There’s something about the place that’s hard to put into words – it’s warm, welcoming, and effortlessly charming. It’s the kind of spot that turns a simple coffee stop into a memorable part of your journey.

Updating my review a little because TipTop deserves the extra love!

I've been in here recently to work on some of my writing. It's the perfect atmospheric space for creatives to focus on their work and to enjoy the serenity present. The snacks I get here are so divine and unique! Let me also just say? I never get tired of the amazing staff and their good music tastes! I swear, every time I come in, I feel at home and am consistently using my Shazam to figure out what music is playing because I love it so much!!! Keep being amazing, Elkins TipTop! ♡♡♡

This first time we popped in the coffee was excellent although a bit pricey. Fast forward to our next visit and what a mess. The place was still clean, still a little expensive, and another customer took and walked out with our order. 15 minutes later I went to the counter to ask if they’ll forgot us and they explained someone else took the order were so sorry we’ll make your order right away. So the 2 stars are for the the service I guess. Finally get our order, it was the wrong thing. Sigh.
