Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Elko

Very dishonest experience. We stopped by last night on our way traveling back to SLC and we were pretty excited to get some Jack In The box late night after a 17 hour work day.

We ordered 2 crispy-spicy Jack wraps and two tacos. The Jack wraps tortillas were literally hard around the edges (left out long enough to dry out) and the chicken itself wasn’t even lukewarm. Literally room temperature. Then….. same with the tacos. Opened the tacos up and they were nearly cold.

The dark-haired drive through lady, said “they literally just came out of the fryer”. I told her no possible chance if all of the food is cold. That’s dishonest and very unprofessional. You can’t BS someone that also spent years in the fast food industry.

This is a food safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately. Food cannot be let sitting out like that. Temperature is critical. If you’re not going to take the most important part of food service seriously, maybe it’s time to find a new job instead of just showing up for a paycheck.

Thankfully they gave a full refund and we gladly took our business elsewhere. Pay attention to the reviews at this location before going...

When we walked in there was no one at the register, but there were three employees sitting in the booth next to the counter. We stood at the counter ready to order for quite sometime before anyone even acknowledged our existence despite being 5 feet away from us. Once they decided to stand up and actually do something there was a discussion between the three of them to whether or not anyone was even on the clock let alone ready to help customers. Once they finally made it behind the counter, neither till had a drawer in it. We did end up ordering our food finally and the next battle of finding a decently clean table to sit at began. After 20 minutes of waiting, people for three separate orders were at the counter all with questions ranging from just needing a bag to wondering where our actual food is. Took another 5 minutes before any of the five people in the back came up and acknowledged us. After 30 minutes “waiting for the chicken” we received our food which could be described as Luke warm at best. The only good reason to come to this location would be if you’re on a diet. Unacceptable! While traveling we pulled off the freeway to grab lunch at the drive through. After several minutes we were told to pull around front and it should be about 3 minutes. The tiny parking area was full of other people waiting for their food. We sat for 15 minutes and watched 5 other people get tired of waiting and go inside to find their food. At about 20 min they came out with what I'm pretty sure was our very large order, and gave it to another car. A few minutes later, they got out, took it back inside and came out with a small sack, their correct order. At 30 min we finally went inside to find our food. Inside was chaos. Plenty of workers, but absolute chaos. Every order was wrong. They we're swamped with refunding, switching wrong food, finding missing food, wrong drinks, etc. In the end we lost 45 min of travel and got a refund because they couldn't find our food.

Incidentally, we watched them hand the food that had been given to the wrong car (probably our order) get handed out the window to the drive through. AFTER that other customer had brought it back inside. Pretty unsanitary and against...
