Last night, my family and I had dinner at the Grille, and there were positives. The prime rib dinner my family and I tasted good, and the salads and soup, too. The busser and hostess were very friendly, and the server before our main food was given to us seemed very nice. However, there was a minor issue as soon as we got the prime rib. My mom ordered the prime rib, and it was rare, and she wanted it well done; she doesn't like bloody and rare meat. When we told the server about the issue, she told us that my mom ordered a rare prime rib, blamed her for it, and was rude. My mom ordered it; well done. My mom has false teeth, and maybe she misheard her. But instead of helping us fix the issue or explaining that she couldn't take it back and get it cooked more, she ignored our response. She just asked us who the rest of the food belonged to at the table and then took off for 30 minutes until we were ready to leave and handed us boxes, bags, and the receipt. I was not happy with the server after she did that. I don't know if she didn't know how to respond when my mom wanted her meat to be cooked more or if something bad happened to her, and that is the reason why she responded like that and ignored us. I was not mad that there was a mistake with how the meat was cooked; my issue was with how the server blamed my mom for it, didn't help us with the problem, and ignored us; it was rude and unprofessional. Read moreWe went in for lunch, sat after 10min, behind me was a server, a busser and a manager all chatting. The server was whining about having to take "one more table". She even told the manager she wasn't going to be nice, but would take it... I've served, bartended & managed restaurants fyi. I was shocked the manager left her on the floor!! Waited another 5-7 min (no one has approached us) the server finally came over and said "What do you want?" Curt, short and extremely rude. I was stunned... over 15 min, no one, then she walks over and is rude?? We attempted to place our order only for her to ask us to repeat ourselves 3 times (2 of us at the table) Finally my husband said "Let's go". We did... down the street to Garibaldis, where we had a good meal with great service!! Where is a manager???? This is NOT a one time occurrence... and I usually tip 40% (again because I served)... Your server got to be cut and your manager showed no backbone or expected level of service... We have 1000s of dollars of money to spend at the Casino, are we not supposed to go to the restaurant??? I'm ticked. I'm not expecting 5 star, but professionalism and kindness... no one offered to stop us from leaving either... must happen all the time. So sad!! The cigarettes now is definitely part of playing but in this casino has to have the worst ventilation I have ever witnessed . My problem is the restaurant honestly didn't think it could be much worse, but they somehow managed to surprise me ... I used to take out food quite a lot due to having so many comps But now the food is gross and the service is really bad. But they want to make you endure horrible service for what?
