Port of Subs — Restaurant in Elko

The date is 5-28-17, also known as Sunday. I suggest to not go there this day, the staff there were no good at their jobs. I felt that they were only friendly and not courteous because they never made small talk, they just did their job. First of all, the guy who did the topping part of the sandwiches left into the back after he made our sandwiches and never came back out to help them with the other customers. He and the cashier lady went into the back until after about two customers. The guy who got the bread and sliced had to work alone during that period of time. But then the cashier lady came along again and she looked like she went into the back to go smoke drugs. She did not look okay or welcome. She helped make this other family's sandwiches and I was kinda nervous FOR them. This lady gave off bad vibes. Which added that to the place. Another thing I want to add to that is how sloppily they made the sandwiches, there was lots of wasted lettuce and other toppings, the way they cut the sandwich wasn't good. And, me a person who might have ocd, thought this place wasn't built well and the chips were in the very front out of view, Port of Subs...If you don't want to get stolen from, then at least make a good effort. Stopped by for a quick bite, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the service felt rushed, and communication was inconsistent—I had to repeat my questions several times to get clarity.

Food preparation practices also raised concerns. The same slicer was used for both cheese and meat, and a single knife was used to cut both vegetarian and meat-based subs, which may not be ideal for customers with dietary restrictions. Additionally, the sandwich had barely any lettuce, making it feel a bit unbalanced.

The pricing felt steep—$30 for two small subs and two small drinks—which didn't quite match the quality or portion size. Given the overall experience, I’m uncertain about returning.

I told them what I wanted and told them the number and what meats that were on it. The guy rolled his eyes and said he knew what came on it... apparently not. I watched them do the veggie portion then I was brought to the cash register to be rang out while they finished. I went home and discovered 2 of the sandwiches were made wrong. They did in fact not know what came on the sandwiches they had the wrong meats and cheeses than I had asked for. The kids sandwiches were overloaded with meat stacked up about and inch tall while the adults sandwiches had one small layer of meat. For so much money and such awful food were not coming back....
