Not impressed with Wendy's this time. The workers had terrible communication skills and did not listen carefully when we ordered. With a large family we often stop at Wendy's on long road trips. In fact we stopped at one in Idaho last week. We prefer the 4 for $4 meals because it's filling and everyone is happy, BUT today we were told "it's 5 dollars now because it's Nevada." ...ummm, ok?? We're from California. We're used to higher prices on everything. I've never heard a difference for something at a chain fast food place being different in Nevada. Back to our experience, we have seven people who have various preferences so my husband did order by order...and for a PLAIN burger he ALWAYS breaks that down to "just meat and bun. Nothing else. Just meat and bun." At the very end of our order there was no review. Him: "you have seven meals right?... And three of those are plain--just meat and bun and one is plain with meat, cheese and bun...". They assured us they had it that way on our order and then SILENCE on their end... (No one staying to move forward to the window. No one reading back or full order. No one giving the full amount due. They never asked if we wanted ketchup with all those fries in our meals.) At the window they were short one nugget and said we could wait four minutes or have a spicy one. We received our food and we said we'd pull over out of the way and check our order. They assured us everything was fine, but if it wasn't to call since the lobby was locked. Right off we noticed all those "just meat and bun" burgers had cheese on them. So we called. Out comes the worker with three meat-and-bun" burgers and it receipt with an annoyed attitude that we didn't order it correctly... "Plain comes with cheese unless you say something. And that's the way we have it on the receipt"... I explained I heard my husband tell them three times just meat and bun and she repeated again it was on the receipt that way. Obviously someone isn't listening well. I asked if their equipment worked right and if they could hear us... She said, "yeah, our head sets aren't very good." But there was no apology they messed up, it was our fault. Me: "I think there was some bad communication because no one gave us the breakdown of the final order, the final amount or even told us to pull forward after we ordered." Them: "but you can't order plain and expect no cheese "... Doesn't matter because the next time I get to Elko and I'm hungry I'm going to just...
Read moreNothing is ever ready and when it is its over cooked or heated (afternoon &evening staff) then there's the attitude from the staff because of their failure to have anything ready, I mean come on, if you're going to be selling burgers so expensive make sure its fresh!!!! At least do that. And if you don't like your job find one that you do! Thought I would give them another try to see maybe if things had changed being it's so close to my work, another disappointment. Wanted to dine-in and they had closed the dining area early around 7pm saying you have to go through the drive thru because we're short staffed and had done a large lunch group. They never had anything posted regarding this and had three plus people working inside with one person going through the drive thru. Even though they have hours posted saying they're dining area is open until 10pm. Fast food service in general wants to get paid better, but what's the point if they aren't even trying to follow what opening and closing hours are supposed to be??? If they aren't taking care of the communities in which they should be servicing. Come on people show a little more professionalism. You want more be more. Otherwise like so many other places will eventually close its doors and go out of business. The food can't serve itself!!!
I did want to include that going here in the morning for breakfast is great, and love the staff, these comments are only about the afternoon evening staff. #7 with an orange juice, highly...
Read more000000 Stars!!! This Wendy's has terrible customer service!!! I couldn't tell you how the food was since we were not even able to order.... Cashier took an order for the first customer in line. We were next and she said sorry It will be a minute...we waited for 5mins as she washed trays and visited with her co workers. Her back was too us this whole time. Meanwhile several more groups of customers came in and waited in line behind us. Customers started asking what was going on and if we had been helped. Management walked past us all more then once but was only concerned with helping the drive through. We told the customers in line the cashier told us she wouldn't(couldn't) help us.... first guy is still waiting on food, we asked to speak to the manager so we could let her know they were failing their customer service. All other customers waiting behind us were upset and left. We left and went across the street to McDonald's where we were greeted immediately and quickly recieved our food. Highly suggest you pick the McDonald's across the...
