I stopped at Winegar's with my family on our way home and was thoroughly impressed. The house-made ice cream was excellent and the prices were low, but their service was the best part. I would absolutely stop here again if I were in the area. There was a very large selection of interesting flavors, and they were happy to let us sample a bunch of them. The samples were big and they also provided recommendations for good flavor combinations. In the end, I got the Ultimate Scoop, which lived up to its name! It was an enormous, four-flavor monster (Kori's Coffee, Jacob Caramel Brownie, Kookie Kayla, and Garydough). In the name of research, I even topped it off with one of their house-made waffle cones. The results were positive. :) The shop had a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and a ton of seating. It's the kind of place that makes you want to hang out with your friends. Next time, I'd like to stay for a while to drink a coffee while reading a book. There's a rewards program, too, but I didn't get the details since I'm not from the area.

This is our summer (and spring and autumn and, yes, winter...) go-to spot for the kids. Get a good walk/bike to the ice cream shop and have a nice treat, savory or sweet, sip a coffee or a soda with boba and then go back home. We use the punch cards, rewards points and love the seasonal flavors, drinks and treats. I'll even go there to unwind when I don't have the kid circus in tow. Locally owned with history in the county. Remember to tip your servers 😉

Our first time going, and we’ll be back for sure any time our travels take us through Ellensburg. Lots of really original flavors and combos on the menu, good prices, and choices for everyone in the family. We got a huckleberry shake, a cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream, an Italian soda, and the Dusty Road sundae (pictured here).

I want to start off by saying that the menu there is incredible and the staff always go above and beyond. They’re all incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful every time I come through here. However, this review is in regard to the way the owners treat their employees. I feel it is imperative that people know about it.

As many already know, on March 15, 2024 there was an armed robbery on the 100 block of West University Way where someone was killed in the altercation. Near the Jerrol’s location of Winegar’s. As a result, businesses in the surrounding area went into lockdown. However, the owners of this establishment forbade the employees from locking their doors. It wasn’t until an employee informed them of the shelter in place order issued by the EPD that they allowed the location to go into lockdown.

Following this, when asked to close at the U&A location out of fear for their safety since the suspect was still at large, the owner refused. Instead, they sat in at that location and ridiculed the employees behind their backs, mistakenly messaging said employees instead of the other owner.

As a result, 4 employees quit within the span of 48 hours following the incident. Good for them. They deserve so much better.

Words can’t even describe how disgusting this behavior is. Every single employee at this establishment deserves to be respected and have their safety valued. If not for them, this place wouldn’t be up and running, or as successful as it is today. God forbid the owners get up and step in when they need the extra help — they don’t even know how to do any of the work their employees work so hard to do. Without their staff, they would have nothing.

I could go on and on about the disgraceful behavior exhibited by the ones running this place, but at that point I’d be writing an entire essay about why they don’t deserve to have such an amazing staff.

It is clear that the owners only care about making money and the reputation of their establishment, and not the well being of those that make that reputation and revenue possible. The locations are understaffed, they are not accommodating to their employees, and do not care about their safety. Rather, they prioritize sales.

I like to believe that what goes around comes around. Things need to change. This is...

I have been coming to this place for years. The staff is usually really good and the coffee is great. However today I got coffee they made it wrong. I had to go back and have them remake it. The coffee was so hot when they asked me to test it that I just said it was fine and drove off. I realized they had made it wrong again but was on my way to the hospital where my grandma was admitted last night. I called them and let them know what had happened, they informed me to just come back when I had the time and they would fix the issue. A few hours later I came back with a full cup of coffee that I did not drink. They then decided that because it was already replaced once that they were not going to do anything about it. I let them know that this was not ok. They told me to come back and then changed their minds. I would never have drove back a second time if I was not told to do so. Without cussing or screaming I let them know I was not leaving the drive through until they either fixed the coffee or refunded me. I left with a finally proper coffee. I pay 5-8 per coffee so it’s not like I’m getting a cheap two dollar coffee.

I told the guy I had to get back to my grandma at the hospital and didn’t have time to drive around and go park. I spend a lot of money here as well as pay for a lot of my friends drinks at this location.

Then instead of being told while there they had a an officer contact me and trespass me off of the property.

I should not be punished because I expect to get what I paid for. I did not drink the coffee and brought it back full to prove that what I was saying was not a lie. To be trespassed for this is not professional and just shows that they are not humble when it comes to correcting their mistakes.

Thankfully there are a lot of other locations such as kolletis coffee and udderly espresso in town that have white coffee and they do not get offended when asked to correct their mistakes. That is definitely not how I would run my own business or treat a customer who has been spending their money at my...

Best Icecream in The West

My wife and I went there first time because we had heard that they are a big supporter of CWU atheletics program. It was a funny choice since it is right across the street from a Dairy Queen - one of our favorite establishments.

First thing we were impressed with was the wide selection of icecream flavors that they carry and with interesting names. My guess is that they have been named after friends and family.

If baskin and robbins has 33 flavors these guys have a sh%$ ton! My only regret is that for some reason they dont have a butter pecan flavor. But as my wife says - "you'll live".

What I was and have been impressed with is how creamy and tasty their icecream is. It is as perfect as you can get it without overdoing it.

I am not heavily into the sweets and normally I don't finish my icecream. But in this case I couldn't put the darn thing down. The creaminess, the flavor the perfect consistency...where do I stop?

Needless to say we come here every time we come here to visit our "student" we have to drop...
