As you pull into the parking lot the first thing you'll notice is the several lights that are out in the sign. You pick one of the many open parking spaces and begin to wonder if you should go elsewhere. You walk through the front door to battered furniture and cracked floor tile and imagine how this place at one time was vibrant. We were immediately greeted by the the hostesses at the counter and taken to our booth. The place was almost completely empty which gives more notice to the decor. Outdated and in disrepair. Imagine the maroon and hunter green color scheme from decades before. As you look at the overpriced menu you hope that the food is amazing because that is where they focus their budget. Bread was bright to the table, hot but slightly rubbery like it was freshly microwaved. We ordered a stuffed artichoke appetizer that looked like it had been reheated in the microwave. The breading was mushy and the appearance unappetizing as the taste. I ordered a Pino Grigio that tasted closer to vinegar then wine as it probably had been sitting open in the fridge for three days and served with the hopes no one would notice. The food was hot when it was served because the microwave is an important part of their food prep as I'm sure you've realized. I came to the realization that day that made fresh and made to order are not the same. The serve was mediocre as the waitress will ask soup or salad as if it comes with the meal as a side, it doesn't. Our waters mainly sat unfilled regardless of what employees walked by. We had to snag our silverware and from an empty table since they were set in preparation for customers that would most likely never come since the dinner hours were coming to an end. This once giant of Italian cuisine has dwindle to nothing more then a memory...
Read moreI used their website to order take out. The ordering process was pretty simple. We have never eaten here before and probably won't be here again. We ordered from the lunch menu which is reduced in price. We ordered a spaghetti with meat sauce which came with the choice of soup or salad we chose salad. We also ordered a lasagna which also came with the choice of soup or salad and again we chose salad. I have been searching for a long time for perfect spaghetti and it's not here. The sauce had a strangely strong alcohol odor. I know some chefs cook with wine, but honestly this had a more of a tequila scent to it. The scent was off putting. The spaghetti with meat sauce I ordered was bland in flavor, and the noodles were very over cooked. I'd say this was about one step above chef boy r d, in texture, but chef boy r D's nasty flavor is better than the spaghetti I received from here. The salad that came as a side to our order was wilted, soggy, and discolored. I was weary to eat it. It's flavor was okay, but the other salad we had , that we planned to have with dinner, was brown and rotten, by nighttime. My hubby, doctored up the spaghetti for himself, but even after putting a pound of ground beef in it, and different sauce, it was still inedible and we had to chuck it. The bread rolls were okay, nothing spectacular. The lasagna we ordered was also just okay. Definitely not worth 14$ for the lasagna for lunch. We spent about 30$ for lunch for two people, including tip, also with a 5$ off coupon. In my opinion there is not anything special about this place. The food is bland and nothing seems fresh. To me it seemed like a waste of money. Half of the food was inedible and we threw it out. The employees we encountered were...
Read moreThis company does not have any information on allergens in their recipes. With all the food allergies one would think they would have this on the internet so you can check before you go. They have a child’s menu and you have to ask and trust an employee to check with the kitchen. This is a little scary. I am sure they miss out on a lot of families looking for a night out. This lost them one star. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but our waitress was seated with 4 tables at one time. I could tell this because we were all ordering at one time. The food took way to long to come out and my grandkids got pretty antsy and hangry. When the food finally came out the kids food was cold and my meal was missing due to the kitchen. It did come pretty quick after that but the pasta was very al debate and the white sauce was runny. This was a rush job but it tasted wonderful. Everyone’s food was excellent. My grandkids where very tired and needed to get home to bed so my daughter and her family had to leave before my husband got his apple pie to celebrate his birthday. We ended our meal sitting alone with dirty dishes all over the table. She brought us his apple pie and the check. I almost felt sorry for this waitress. I could see that she got slammed. She apologized several times and never blamed anyone. She took complete ownership but I could tell how things were happening. I spent several years in the business. I think the manager would do better if he managed not just played cashier all night. It was really sad because the food was great. The experience...
