First time here. We had dinner down the street and decided that we needed to have some ice cream for dessert. We were on our way to "The Chocolate Factory", and then saw a sign for RJ's. Decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed.
RJ's is not on the street, but tucked away in the Mill Place building, which holds other businesses. It has a few tables on the outside patio and more seating inside. Inside, you'll first notice a brightly colored area displaying different candies. The ice cream counter is toward the rear of the store. They serve Cedar Crest ice cream. Not a large collection, but we found some of our favorites.
Got a friendly greeting from the young woman behind the counter. We got a mix of different items. I got a double scoop in a sugar cone, and others got a hot fudge sundae and a Cream Soda Float (Sprecher brand).

Read moreI took my grandchildren to RJ's yesterday and found the most delightful little ice cream and candy shop. Lots of kids had ridden their bikes there, others with family, all enjoying the space. Cute little outside sitting area and nicely displayed old fashioned candy favorites. The person scooping ice cream was super friendly, talking directly to each child while taking the orders. Definitely a fun place to visit...
