Tropical Juice Bar — Restaurant in Elmwood Park

I have to speak up about the Tropical Juice Bar. I love the juices. I promoted Juice way back in 2008. And it was a thrill to have the Tropical Juice tour in our areas. It was really blessing and still Tropical Juice Bar is a blessing. We thank God for you. However, there are a few items that need to be addressed and I’m praying and hoping that they will be. Number one is why is it that a representative of the store walks to the counter and ask the customer may help you and then right away starts talking to a coworker right in between as the customers talking to them what kind of Communications is that it’s ignorant. It’s so ghetto. It’s so ignorant it makes people wanna throw up. Is that you guys make these juices and you serve them with foam on the top all the time. Why are we paying for foam everybody so fast that they actually have the audacity to serve a drink That has 3 inches or 2 inches of foam and Juice? Number three is the looks of the vegetables when they go into the juicer a lot of times oh my God how do you hide that? Also why are you putting all the time on top of vegetables when somebody orders, the vegetable drink why do you put sugar on it Benefit of vegetable confusing peoples bodies and making their hormones going into a bizarre behavior don’t you even know that? I love Tropical Juice Bar however think about what you’re doing. Of course taste is gonna sell. Yes but you’re hurting people and your own people and it’s kind of strange so I really wanna clear that up. I called today and I asked for the manager Carlos I got a woman on the phone who couldn’t speak English so I spoke very clearly and very slowly to her and this woman got so confused that she hung the phone up on me. What kind of representative is that and I was being very kind right now I’m not being very kind because really it’s been almost 6 years that I’m watching this happen, get it together. People get your act together. Criticism is always a benefit and a blessing so don’t get mad at me but really think about what you’re doing! Take your focus off of the customer when the customer is standing in front of you and never ever serve wilted , yellow vegetables or fruits, and never put sugar on top of a vegetable you don’t use sugar water. It’s not godly to do that. It really isn’t. You don’t use sugar. This is a healthy treat not something that’s going to raise diabetes and pancreatitis. My fiance and I stopped here for dinner Saturday night. We initially came here for the super green drink and some empanadas. While ordering, we saw the salad and decided to order that also. My partner got the super green smoothie, I got the ginger smoothie, both about $7. The super green was delicious. My partner added pineapple for additional cost. I wasn't too pleased with my drink. It was mostly made with beets. So if you're not a fan of beets, I wouldn't recommend it. We got two chicken and one beef empanadas ($2 each). It was really delicious especially with the sauce. While my partner enjoyed the salad, I was disappointed with the choice of lettuce. For the price, iceberg lettuce was not worth it. We had hoped it was mixed green or spinach. Service wise, it took a while to get our order. Considering the place was empty and only one couple was in front of us ordering, not sure why it took so long. People who came after us got their meal before us. In terms of the decor and location, it is very easy to find. Big sign of the name luminates enough to see it from the street. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating inside. I want to give it 3 stars. My fiance gives it 4....

I'm never going back there. Its a shame bc their food is cheap and on my way home. I made an order at the kiosk inside for 2 hot chocolates because I was seeing the comedy at the food place next store and it was a cold night. IT WAS ON THE MENU. They proceed to tell me they dont have it and all i asked was for a refund and then i was told to wait. For the next 10 minutes they are talking shit in spanish (which i happen to have as my first language) and complained about having to make it. They were making fun of me for "being cold" and also called me a gringo. Will never be coming back, will never recommend someone to go. Pretty sure my hot chocolate was spit in with the dirty looks I got to FOR ORDERING SOMETHING ON THE MENU!!!
