We were initially happy to see a Burger King open up near us. We have a large family and all love what they have to offer. Last night we had an order that consisted of 6 sandwiches, 5 fries and 2 milkshakes. To help alleviate the rush we ordered on the app ahead of time since we live about 15 minutes away. When we arrived, the car line was about 6 long and only one lane of 2 was open. We noticed folks trying the doors and they were locked so we waited approx 25 minutes in line till we got to the serving window. The cars in line continued to add up behind us. At the window we waited another 5-10 minutes and then we were given our order. We quickly checked the contents in case there was a mistake and we’d have to wait another 30 plus minutes to correct it. We found we were missing 1 sandwich and 1 fry. We mentioned it to the person at the window and another person in the background proceeded to tell us we were wrong and there wasn’t anything missing. I again said we are missing 2 items and she started arguing that that couldn’t be. Then she went back out of sight and came back with another burger and explained she had mistakenly left it on the counter. Ok, one down one to go. She then said we got all our fries though. We counted again and came up short. She begrudgingly returned with another fry and told us our tone was bad! We said we understand they were under pressure and short staffed but we weren’t asking for anything more than what we paid for and left. Next day I called to complain about the worst experience I’ve ever had as a Burger King customer and ended up talking to the same person on the phone. She apologized for the situation but insisted our tone was bad. I told her we weren’t yelling at her but we were insisting that items were missing. We were treated like we were thieves trying to get a few extra items for free. I said we were unlikely to return to this location and we would review the experience online and then I was hung up on. So, if you like long waits… wrong orders and being accused of lying and bad tone… go to this location for your next...
Read moreWent inside to order take out so it was faster than the long line at the drive up. Food was hot, chicken sandwiches and fries were especially good but the double stacker that I ordered without bacon tasted very greasy and had a strong charcoal taste, gave me a stomach ache later that night! Also had no bacon which I wanted but also had nothing else on it! Should've had ketchup and pickles I would think? Oh well...
I'll surely give it another try or two, we so wanted a Burger King here in Emmaus for years so I hope they can fix these early issues.
EDIT: I gave it another try tonight and it was much better, still a for me a little too much charcoal "flavoring" which I think might be something that is added not from cooking, I saw that once that they can "add" juice so it tastes flame grilled , I may be wrong, but it was much better, and hopefully they work out the other issues listed here. I go inside I don't wait in the drive thru line so I can't comment on that part, but it was better tonight which is good!!
EDIT 1/24: This place seems like it is going to be "hit or miss". Went in last night, hardly busy at all, got something to go and by the time I got home which is about 1 minute away the french fries and onion rings were cold, the hamburger buns weren't very good, so I don't know. We had so wanted a Burger King here in town but we want one that is going to be more consistently good.
EDIT 1/15/24 This place is still hit or miss, but sadly mostly miss. Tried it again last night and the rolls were hard and the burgers still had that "fake" smoky taste to them, nothing like the Burger King on Route 100, was there the other week and it tasted like Burger King should taste. I don't understand why they don't address the taste of the food. The people are pretty nice now, not like some who were there in the past, but it is still usually very slow if you go inside to place an order.
Like I said many of us who live in Emmaus wanted a Burger King very badly, but this isn't what we want, the food just isn't up to what Burger King standards should be which is...
Read moreWe placed a prepaid online order before arriving at BK. We pulled into the drive thru and waited for almost 5 mins before we were told to hold on, then another 10 mins before we were asked if we knew what we wanted to order. I informed the woman that I had a an online order and she told me to pull around. There were 4 cars ahead of me when I first pulled into the drive thru. When asked to pull around 2 were still waiting. And 4 cars pulled in behind me. It took another 20 mins to get from the speaker to the window. The woman inside was very friendly and pleasantly joking even though she was obviously stressed about the overwhelming customers some of which were beeping their horns and yelling out of their car windows which wasn’t helping. She was trying her best to make the situation better. However, the order was almost entirely wrong. One sandwich was so over cooked it couldn’t even be bitten into without breaking a tooth. Another had hot sauce on it which couldn’t be eaten due to health problems and wasn’t even part of the sandwich recipe. The third sandwich was missing the beef patty from the burger! There was supposed to be 2 mediums and large fry. Instead we received 2 small fry’s that weren’t cooked all the way. Some were still ice cold like they just came from the freezer. The nuggets were slightly overcooked but edible. But they left out the sauce and never asked if we wanted any. The 2 sodas were correct and fresh but no napkins or straws. Also, I was told the receipt was in the bag but it wasn’t. NEVER AGAIN will we go to that BK. Quite honestly I don’t think we will ever go to any BK again. Truly disappointed and the prices have increased over $10 for a small cheeseburger meal that couldn’t even be made with the...
