The Cove at Emory — Restaurant in Emory

I placed an order by phone for family members that came from out of town. I have heard good things about the place. What a major disappointment! We didn't get the salads or the drinks that came with the enchilada plates nor did we get the sodas! I had to call back and let them know. By the time my husband went to pick up the super dry salads that looked like they just threw the lettuce in a container and sent it out like that, we were already done with the enchiladas! The nachos were horrible, the tortilla chips were extremely salty and the ground beef they put in it were hamburger patties chopped up and some loose black beans fresh out of the can! The enchiladas were less than stellar! I was so embarrassed and totally disgusted! Spent $50 for nothing! They have family members (children)standing around the counter where the cash register is. My first time stopping in. I was seated quickly. The Deco and atmosphere are great, the servers were extremely friendly, but not overbearing and everything is reasonably priced. I had the Mexican burger without onions and it is easily on my list of top 10 burgers all time. (I’ve been to 57 countries and more than 30 states in USA, so that is a very competitive list.). The sweet potato fries were crisp and fresh, very tasty and the sweet tea was the perfect land of tea flavor and sugar - not just dark colored sugar water. Overall, this was a great stop in my journey, and I’m glad that I popped in, I will return. Best food around! The chicken sandwhiches are to die for! I stop by often and never get disappointed! Its real, it's fresh made to order, and always big portions! Not to mention the pricing is competitive with even fast food but you get double the portions and its a much healthier option. Support your local restaurants and give it a shot if you haven't already, trust me.
