Read moreMy wife and I have been long term customers at this restaurant. After the onset of the Covid-19 virus we have been very cautious about where we will even go out to eat. The reason we continued eating out here after restrictions lifted was because they seemed to be being very careful to follow safety mandates. Fast forward to this afternoon and we go by there for a large lunch around 3 PM and there is absolutely no social distancing being observed along all the booths in the main dining room where they used to just use every other booth to try and ensure customer safety. They seat a woman and man directly where the woman is coughing her head off. We ate as quickly as we could. I registered a complaint with the person that took our money and her only answer was that people complain if they don't get to sit where they want. Pretty weak concerning the current circumstances. I let her know we would never be back in here if our safety meant that little to her. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to risk their life going in...
Read moreWe have eaten here several times for lunch and ordered take out for dinner. They do not disappoint. Small owned business that has great food. 2 adult dinners for take out, tamale dinner which is 4 tamales, rice, and beans (not just 2 or 3 tamales like corporate chain restaurants), chicken fajita chimichanga dinner with questions on top, rice, beans, pico, guacamole, and sour cream, chips, and salsa for $24. Most restaurants would charge $15-17 per plate. Some of the BEST restaurants are the tiny hole in the wall places that you finally give a try. If you want a good sit down dinner at a reasonable price, try them. The first time we went we were wishing we had tried it sooner. It's a simple place which is how it should be. This has become a once a week stop. Already thinking about what our next excuse will be to go eat there...
