We decided to go to js tonight for dinner. I went to the drive thru. Ordered the 1/4 burger a double cheese burger, a kiddie burger sides and drinks. About 15 mins in the drive thru waiting to get our order (this is not why I am upset). After getting home with the food I realise one of the burgers was completely wrong. I called up to js to see if I could get a new one working and I would bring back this one. The older lady working answered the phone I was telling her what I had and was trying to tell here what it was supposed to be so I could get a new one made (since it took so long the first time) and she told me I could eat it or throw it away and hung up on me! I am sorry but that is not good customer service! I just spent 30+ dollars on burgers and fries for 3 people and you hang up on me for trying to get my order corrected? So I take my burger back up there and 20 plus minutes later my burger was handed to me and I get to eat a fresh correct burger with cold fries and onion rings so thank you and I will...
Read moreThis place needs to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It is the best hole in the wall that you will ever eat at! Jay hasn't put a dime into the building in 10+ years but the he business in the resturant could support a building 10+ times the current size. The inside is cramped and run down but I suggest that you squeeze out a place at one of two tables or at one of the two counters. The service is exceptional! They will refill your drink everytime it gets half full and refill it for you with a lid before you leave. They will also give you free ice cream. The tenderloin is twice the size of the bun and the burgers are greasy and juicy, just like you want them to be!
If you want to go to a place that is truely a hidden surprise, go to Jay's. The service is consistently excellent and the...
Read moreThe food here is outstanding. I got the pound cheeseburger - just to prove I could - and it was amazing. Fries are great here, too. You have to wait, sure, because it's all done to order, but food-wise you can't go wrong here.
So why just 2-stars? Nobody on staff was wearing a mask, despite the governor's order and the county's strong recommendation. It's disrespectful to customers and other staff to roll the dice with people's health like this, and as someone traveling with an immuno-suppressed person, the stakes are particularly high for us. Any place that does this gets an automatic one-star rating from me because of the lack of concern it displays for patrons, but because the food was THAT GOOD, J's gets...
