Since I enjoy antique stores. I thought I'd stop by this one. Find me a Victorian north wind Anemoi door knob. I saw a friend of mine at the store front about to go get his carry out at China Dragon, asked him to join me. I had lots of questions. Alex just knew everything, but I enjoyed his Japanese carvings (netsuke and Kamakura-bori). That he has in the cabinet up front.

He has a lot of books as well towards the back of the shop with artists an info about collectibles. He is very knowledgeable about anything that's in his shop. He offered us a white wine to try while we browsed. Lovely shop to just to brighten your day by speaking...

Scott and Sherry were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable when I came to pick out some antique furniture for my new place in Emporia. After purchasing, we set up a time and date, and Scott even went out of his way to rent a trailer to tow my furniture to my home.

If you are ever in Emporia or live nearby, you must check out this place. I've personally spent a lot of time antiquing in California and Colorado, but the selection and pricing at De Stijl is fantastic. I stopped by this shop after a lunch by myself, and was greeted kindly by Scott, who quickly offered me a cup of coffee while I browsed. He answered all of my questions and showed me some examples of what I might find interesting. I’m a college student so I didn’t have a ton of money to spend, and he was glad to show me some lower end items. However, he also showed me and explained some very valuable pieces, and I could imagine someone who was serious about antiques feeling like a kid in a candy store there.
