High Gear — Local services in Emporia

I give the Staff a 4.5 for friendliness and because they always made time to work my brand new Walmart hybrid LEMON in every other week or so. While I like their employees they never actually fixed anything and time after time it was the same couple of problems. I finally fixed the brakes myself and a friend replaced the tires (3rd time the first year!) for me because he noticed the latest ones High Gear sold me were damaged during manufacturing. I've given them more money for flat tires (2 block ride on pavement) and attempts to correct the brakes (they gave up) than I paid for the bike! ... but they are indeed friendly! I will likely return to the store but not...

I recently bought a bike from High Gear as well as have had my other bike in the shop to get fixed multiple times. The staff at High Gear is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They will take the time to answer any questions that you have so that you understand the purchase you are about to make. Prices are great! We are in Emporia for Unbound and I had trouble with my tires. Not only did they have exactly what I needed ( Panaracer GravelKing SK+ 700X43C) in stock, but they got them installed the same day and stayed open late to get my bike back to me.
