Wendy's — Restaurant in Emporia

This place is one of the few fast food restaurants that still offer quality food at an affordable price, highly recommend their frozen stuff, they used to have an orange frozen drink and it was amazing! But I don't think they have it anymore they have a different frozen one but it's purple flavor, it is not as good but it's still pretty good. The only thing I wish they had was a bigger container, their large size is tiny which is understandable because a bigger one would probably cost over $10 dollars. But yeah their burgers are pretty well done and worth the money compared to other places which I stopped going for food since every time I would go to get food I'd end up disappointed and feeling ripped off. So at least for me this is one of the few places I still go and which I recommend. I have to say that at first I didn't use to go here because one time when they just barely open a few years ago I went there and they gave me an undercooked burger which I understand because they were extremely busy people couldn't fit inside the place and the drive through was constantly full all the time so I think that's why they didn't kept my burger in there to cook fully because of so many orders and I don't blame them or anything but it did gross me out for a while and didn't go there until recently when most of the other fast food restaurants failed miserably at what they're supposed to provide to people. I had to make a return visit since my drive thru order yesterday was amazing. Today I ordered the Dave's Single with a 10 piece Spicy Nuggets and everything was Hot, Fresh, and juicy. I love the way Wendy's lettuce has that crunch to it and they truely are stepping their burger game up. I utilized the Wendy's App to get the $1 Dave's Single and its very much worth it. The lady who took my order was super nice and very friendly and made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. She even asked if I wanted a cup for water since I didn't order a drink and she went above and beyond to make sure her customers in the lobby had everything they needed. I should of asked for her name so I can give her a shout out for her above and beyond personality. Now back to the food. 5 stars across the board and I really love the freshness of their spicy nuggets and how they're so juicy and tender with every bite. Most of the employees have been very nice at the drive thru window, but both times in the past month that I've visited, the manager at the window has been inattentive and neglected doing his job well. I understand not wanting to interact with customers much, as a fast food employee myself, but I would expect at least a little more from a manager. I've also been missing some food items, but I understand since its somewhat common in fast food

update: Came in through the drive thru today, this time I ordered through to mobile app to skip the line. Came to the drive thru and waited about a minute to get checked in, and got sent to the parking lot after a few minutes because my food was not ready. I sat in the parking lot for FIFTEEN MINUTES. My food was eventually brought to me by the SAME manager, who said nothing when handing me my food, not even an apology. What made it worse is that we watched several cars go through the drive thru very quickly, while we sat outside in the heat. Would 100% not recommend if you care about...
