So sad to be downgrading my original 5-star review to 1.
Recently, I had a horrible experience at Peachy's, a restaurant that my family and I have been patronizing every Friday for the past 2.5 years - loyal customers would be an understatement. The owner's behavior towards me was highly disrespectful and uncivil, and it occurred in the presence of his staff, and a large group of customers, including one of my friends.
My husband placed an order, and due to a glitch in the system, the order went through twice. When I asked the owner about it he said I would need to wait 48 hours to see if the charge would be reversed. I explained that my husband talked to one of the staff members over the phone, and they said that we would get our money back when we went to pick up the food. When I brought this up to the owner, he grew increasingly irritated and started yelling at me. I told him that he was being rude, and he responded by saying, "well, there are plenty of other options around here for food." Needless to say, I was pretty taken aback by the whole experience. It's a real shame that a business owner would treat loyal customers like this.
To add insult to injury, 30 minutes later, the owner had the audacity to call my husband and inform him that I had called him rude in front of his staff. Can you believe that? Not only did he fail to address the issue at hand, but he also resorted to a petty attempt to "tell on me" to my husband....
Read moreI just went to Peachy Grill in Encinitas. I hope I don’t get sick. Last time it was so good. This time the meat was pretty uncooked. I think the owner got mad when I made the order and asked not to put oil in my rice, and that his rice was greasy sometimes.
Vindictive are some Iranian men, he is one of them!
So my Kabob was pretty much raw. I called and he said ( the rude owner ) send me pictures. I actually have a few pieces saved for my Persian cat. And one of the skewers was more cooked. I ate around it. I think because the meat/ Kabob was more raw, my Persian cat loved it. The owner was short with me, took forever to pick up, and he without saying sorry or any apology, hung up.
My friends and I went this past Sunday to eat there, they were closed but, I am pretty sure her and her husband will try to go back, so I will send them this message to see before they waste their money with a rude stuck up ungrateful Iranian man business owner.
This owner is a jerk it seems! 👎😞 He himself is the reason more than likely that my kabob had ZERO GRILL MARKS,
The one skewer was almost like eating the raw, very very underdone meat.
Please don’t support him. He must think that he is in Tehran.
I was referred to this junk Persian restaurant by my nice gym...
Read morePeachy’s Market is a gem. Not only can you get great produce here, there’s a wide selection of specialty groceries.
We ordered two gyros with fries at the counter as well as some hummus and pita.
The gyros were juicy and full of meat with pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomato. The tzatziki sauce was creamy, full of herbs, and fresh.
The fries were crispy and tasted fresh with the perfect amount of salt.
The hummus was creamy and well balanced between the tahini and chick peas. The texture was a little on the wet side which is perfect for clinging to the soft and chewy pitas.
I also found some great sugar cubes with cardamom and saffron as well as some caviar spread. The dolmas were also fresh and juicy as well.
We will...
