Heydy’s Place was truly an incredible experience. The atmosphere and artwork is amazing inside this restaurant. What’s impressive is how they translate that to their food. Heydy’s Place blends Guatemalan and Mexican culture and cuisine into their incredible thought out dishes.
The food we had on our Spotlight visit at Heydy’s left us wanting more of their menu items. The Tamale was so soft, tender, it was moist, it had me questioning how they could be a this level. The Pork Enchilada, was exceptionally delicious as well. Heydy’s Place has this way of getting their meats so tender that every bite keeps raising the bar.
The Pork Relleno was this perfectly cooked pepper with a light batter stuffed with fork tender pork, seasoned to perfection. The balance of flavors in this was amazing.
Heydy’s is a true culinary experience, they’ve taken some incredible popular dishes and spun them into their own recipes. They’ve put passion and attention to detail in everything they serve. Elevating meals you might have had before but making them their way.
As a foodie and content creator I can’t tell you how much I enjoy this place. The customer service was exceptional, the food was presented so appealing, and the taste took you to new heights.

Read moreHas great potential. I selected this restaurant based on the large number of 5 star reviews, unfortunately that didn't line up with the experience we had. Lets start with the good: The guacamole was amazing, very fresh and great flavor, the Charro beans were also excellent, the taco salad was also very good. Now the bad: I had the chicken Mole, and while the Mole sauce was good (oddly not spicy at all, more on the sweet side) the chicken was rolled up similar to a taquito and was bland and extremely dry. The chips were extra thick and difficult to bite thru (some may like them, but I prefer a thinner lighter chip). But the real reason behind the 3 star was the service. When we walked in we were the only people in the restaurant. We were greeted and they took our order pretty fast, but things went down hill from there. The guacamole appetizer didn't come out until part way thru the meal, our third entree came out 7-8 minutes after the first two, and we had to ask for chips multiple times. Another couple came in and ended up walking to the counter to ask for more chips. Again great potential, but they need to address a few things. I will give them credit that they at least came by and apologized for the delays in service. If there was an option this would have been a 3.5...
Read moreWhen our party of five arrived we were the only customers. Of course it was the heaviest rain experienced in over a month. Our welcome was very friendly and the staff made us feel welcome. When we ordered our drinks they didn’t have a beer we requested but the manager offered the go buy what we wanted. Of course we said no need and were ready to make a different selection when he walked out the into the torrential rain. Meanwhile we ordered our meal. About the time our dinner arrived, the manger came in, soaked to the skin, with our request in hand. He placed it on the table and announced “ no charge for the drinks”!! What a surprise!! The next surprise was the quail our food. I had ordered the tamale dinner. They were the best tamales I’ve ever had. And so much I couldn’t finish it all. My wife got the street tacos and raved about them. So good!! The other meals were just as good. The next day I recommended Heydy’s to my friends...
