Very disappointed in this restaurant. We went last Tuesday for the oysters and other food. When we were seated. There were only 3 other patrons in the building. My husband ordered a dozen of oysters and grouper fingers, to which was told they were out. As we sat there. Several other people came in ordered oysters, (we had been there at least 5 minutes before others came in. We got there before 5), they received their oysters before ours and I had already put my food order in. 'Popcorn shrimp', as we sat and watched 4 other people get their oysters, our waiter brought out another tables food on a tray. I said to my husband, I hope that's not my meal with that order. Low and behold he handed me my shrimp basket. He went to walk away and I said, sir it is customery, to receive your appetizers before a meal..aka oysters, his reply was oh they are working on them. I said explain how others that came after us received theirs before ours. He walked away. Looking at my shrimp, I was like is this serious, they were the size of half my pinkie, and they served me 3 corn fritters with no hush puppies. Finally husband received his oysters, I told the young man about the corn fritters and he didn't get the point, he said wow you got lucky getting that many. I said you don't understand, no hush puppies 3 corn fritters. Then he said oh I'll go get you some, I said no thanks. A few weeks earlier we went to get oysters again. Came in around 6, well they were out of oysters, really... so we ordered other food and with my coleslaw it was if they poured a cup of seasoning in the batch. Couldn't eat it, brought it up to the waiter, and nothing. I just wanted them to let the Chef know on both dates of the mistakes, so they could correct them. Read moreOn 08/23/2017 at 1230 pm. My family and I went to the Shrimp Basket on Nine Mile rd for lunch. Before we were seated we went to wash our hands. A female employee exited one of the restroom stalls and appeared to have been crying. She washed her hands and went back to work. As we sat down another waitress approached the table for out drink orders. Three other waitress were gathered around the kiosk. We over heard them speaking of a waitress there. They were saying some pretty harsh things. The side door opened and it was the waitress that was in the bathroom crying. She had a tub with dishes and was walking briskly past the other waitress, one of the them laughed the other said something derogatory to her. She stayed in the back for about five minutes. She came around to the kiosk entered a few things and then left the building in tears. Its not nice to bully. An unfortunately she was being bullied but not only by the waitresses the female manager was saying things as well. I wanted to speak to that young lady who was so upset and in tears. No one deserves to be treated like she was. So to Shrimp Basket if you loose an employee today blame your on duty manager and waitress that bullied her. Dollars I was given a 4.
