This place is the real deal. The kind of place I have always wanted to see in the area. A local, family owned, made from scratch place to have a gourmet coffee and dessert. Stop reading now, and come here immediately.
For those that take more convincing, the coffee alone is worth coming for. I'd never had a shaken espresso before, and now it may have replaced cold brew as my favorite coffee. Unfortunately the syrups are not homemade, but the quality and care they take in making your coffee is right up there with leisure club. For $5, it's got my vote for the best cup of coffee in Pensacola when you factor in the value and service. The roast has a delightful smoky earthiness that combos perfectly with their pastries.
I was not expecting much when I saw the croissants, figuring it was the usual factory produced puff pastry and one of the same pre made custards used by most donut shops. I was so happy to be wrong. The pastry is light, buttery, flakey, and delicate. Just toothsome enough to hold together to he filled and consumed. The tart shells are perfectly crisp, with a shortbready texture that holds up wonderfully to the fillings. The pastry cream is almost as good as mine. Rich, buttery, and eggy; thick and less inclined to make a mess or explode on you.
The crepes and waffles are as close to perfect as you can get. The crepes are pleasantly spongey, and delicately folded with the pistachio knaffe made for a decadent accompaniment to our coffee. The waffle is legit, crispy, and loaded with toppings of choice. I think the crepe with biscoff will be my favorite, but I'll have to try that next time.
Come here soon, your second visit...
Read moreI found another hidden gem in Pensacola! The place on the outside does not match the inside at all!!
Its super cute the way they have decorated this place! It's kinda small so be aware of what time you go and how many people. You might not find a place to sit!
There are so many delicious things on the menu! You want to try it all! The crepes were amazing. We had the fruit and pistachio one.
Their customer service was amazing. I don't know if the guys that were making the crepes were owners but they really made our group feel welcomed.
Everything was so clean and their to go box reminded me of an Indian wedding invitation. It's probably the prettiest to go box I've seen!
The crepes are huge!! If you don't like sweet, it might be too sweet. Some suggested adding some nuts or something to break up the sweetness. I had pistachio aka Dubai Chocolate crepe so I was happy with mine.
Pay attention to what you are ordering and maybe add the mixed nuts if you are not a sweet person.
I cant wait to go back and try their other items especially the pastries! Great new place on that...
Read moreWe stopped in for a snack for my kids, having no idea what to expect. I was thinking it's a coffee shop and we'll grab a muffin or something. I was surprised by the waffle and crepe menu. My daughter was thrilled lol. She got the strawberries and cream waffle, made some changes to it which they accommodated with no issue.. they even brought out melted butter for her and poured it over her waffle because she said she likes that. I got a waffle stick for my son. I wasn't sure how to order them, and the lady was very patient in explaining. We ended up getting it with chocolate chips and dark chocolate with maple syrup added. Both of my kids said their food was "amazing" they ate every bite. It was also very pretty... Which of course isn't a requirement, but they were impressed with how fancy it seemed for what we thought was just a little coffee shop. My daughter loved the "gold forks" and the food was presented so well. It was approximately $10 per person, depending on your...
