Actual Rating 3.7 ⭐️
I’ve been to this place twice. The 1st time I ordered some breakfast burritos to go and ate them a couple hours later. They were good but I also wanted to go back and try more. The 2nd time I ordered a Chile verde burrito and it was also good.
Atmosphere 4⭐️: The restaurant is designed better than your average taco shop style establishment. I didn’t feel like it was one of those places I was afraid to try based on the atmosphere.
Cleanliness: 4⭐️ this restaurant has a very clean dining room. And the tables get cleaned off right away which adds to the overall look of cleanliness. The bathroom was also very clean. They were just out of hand soap.
Service: 3⭐️. The service was average. I did not feel overly welcomed or anyone was super friendly. But at least the employees were not rude or had bad attitudes.
Food Quality & Taste: 3.5⭐️ the first time I came it was good enough to give a second try. The second time I ordered and it tasted good. I ordered a Chile verde burrito. The thing I did not like was that it was average in size, but not packed with food. Also they add rice and beans to the burrito. I really do not like rice in my burritos. I feel it’s a cheap filler. Beans are fine but the actual meat was slightly on the skimpy side with a few fatty pieces.
Price/value: 3⭐️ The price before tax was $9.99. Not cheap nor expensive these days. But because I felt like the burrito was a little deflated I don’t think it’s a super value.
Summary: The restaurant is decent. But it is not close to where I work or live so I probably wouldn’t go out of my way. A big plus is that it’s open 24hrs. For those times when I’m heading to California early and want a breakfast burrito for the road,...
Read moreThis place is "DA BOMB" for inexpensive great tasting quality Spanish dishes. Of coarse all the favorites are amazing from bean and cheese/Carne Asada/shredded beef-burritos to crispy crunchy hard shell beef or chicken tacos. Other local favorites include the chimichanga (crsipy tortilla form of a burrito smothered in sour cream and guacamole) and of coarse the whiteboy favorite "carne asada fries" lol (coming from a white guy)- I know! But to me what separates this place from say like Robertos is the hot sauce bar (which is really what a "taco shop" is made of). The hot sauce bar here is always super clean and the hot carrots and absolutely amazing!!!! Soft yet still has that crunch they are soooo much better then the carrots at say R where they pretty much taste like a raw carrot and are as crunchy as one as well. Great tasting food with excellent prices, super clean (the restaurant itself and hot sauce bar), bomb carrots (spicy- don't just grab one and give to your 5 year old, lol) and lastly the girl that is usually working during the day is super friendly and not bad to look at either I must add. Give this place a try if you're driving to rack bell which is right next door break away from the norm and try some real Spanish food!!! You will become addicted as I have since eating at taco shops like Pacific taco #1 in North County San Diego...
Read moreNot only is the #3 Sopes Special the greatest value in Vegas, it may be the greatest value in the country. Heck, forget value... it could be the greatest food, regardless of price. I've never had anything else here, but when I look around at the plates, everything looks phenomenal. So, for $8.95 you get two chicken or beef sopes, rice, beans, and a drink. I've tried both, and I prefer the chicken. The icing on the cake is the salsa. I'm a spice man, and I load up on the red sauce, the top that off with the habanero. Are you kidding me? There is one strange caviot: while they serve sit-down customers on an actual plate, you must use a plastic knife and fork which is simply no match for the sopes. They are loaded, and the shell underneath is thick and chewy and perfectly crunchy, to boot. I bring my own serrated knife and fork. It's very little to ask for the best (and least expensive) meal in Vegas, nay, the world. They are 24 hours, which is perfect for me with my wacky schedule. So yourself a favor, give them a try. I believe you'll be...
