This dutch bros has been one I have started avoid for a while. Not sure why but many of the employees here behave like this is a franchise store not associated with the rest of the brand. I love dutch bros but this location makes me feel unwelcome and like a burden. I will never be returning to this location again.
on sticker day they ran out and gave us attitude when we had asked for stickers. (specifically told us that we don’t need to ask if they don’t hand them out because that means they’re out which is not something I’ve ever heard at a Dutch bros) and the new location at cactus gave us stickers without a single issue (no purchase) and chatted with us until we left. Today the reverse happened. (except cactus was very nice and apologetic about being out)
I asked before purchasing if I could get stickers for my two drinks I had already bought and was told yes. I did tip as well. Once I got to the window one of the girls working snapped at me and said one per D-R-I-N-K (annunciated not spelled out) after being asked by her co worker if he could honor it for me. I was so shocked by her response. I understand the policy and if she had responded with empathy and kindness this would have turned out different.
I explained the situation again and she rolled her eyes and said “not our region not our problem”. I genuinely was so shocked I just told her that I wouldn’t have bought anything if they weren’t going to honor it (I already had two drinks!) but the girl who took my order said I could. The girl then stormed out and got the girl who took my order who then gave me the stickers and I left.
I cried on my way home because I felt so embarrassed and shocked by her reaction to something as simple as a sticker. I felt so dumb for even going there. Sticker culture is a part of the customer experience at dutch bros but I felt like a child for even asking. I ended up back at cactus to ask them for info and they were so kind they offered me a drink and tried so hard to make up for this experience. I did relay this message to customer support as well but be warned this location is not representative of the...
Read moreThe Dutch Bros Coffee located at 4585 W Blue Diamond always has a line of at least 10 to 15 cars, day or night. I had to see for myself what the commotion was all about, so I took a spin and waited in line for a relatively short amount of time. So that you know, the line moves pretty quickly because there are people taking orders directly from you (in your car) and not just from the speaker box.
Anywho, I'm pretty much a coffee and cream kind of guy. The frilly, girly sweet, and whip creamy drinks are not my cup of tea (hehe) by and large. This time I ordered a straight dark roast coffee with cream. It was right up there with Starbucks, my go-to coffee place up the street. My wife ordered her usual frappe whatchamacallit with whip cream, and god knows what else (I think a drizzle of caramel and sprinkles), and she loved it. You'll never catch me ordering such concoctions, but if my wife liked it, then I guess it has to be good. It seemed a touch more costly than my go-to place, but not by much.
A good cup of dark roast and cream is always worth at least a four-star rating in my book.

Read moreJust left the drive thru, the “manager on shift” Calechi, in the tan rain jacket had given the wrong order to the car in front of us, I’m the passenger and noticed it, let my sister who was the one who ordered know that the girl sent back a drink that looked like it was her order. My sister didn’t even take the drink but requested for a new one to be remade since the car ahead of us had to give it back and there was no way for us to know if they had already taken a drink or not. The” manager” rolled his eyes and continued to complain about the situation to the other coworker on duty in a light sea foam green jacket, and handed a new drink and decided to say “I don’t know why you think I’d lie to you” and proceed to argue with my sister about the whole situation.
We didn’t even take the drink and ask for a new one to be made free, we only asked for it to be remade.
I’m not sure how that interaction was okay for him to feel confident enough to say that he didn’t want to us to return and that we couldn’t speak to his manager above him.
Thankfully she’s on the phone with headquarters to at least let someone above him know how he’s handling his mistakes on shift. Considering it was only him that messed up the drinks...
