We usually spend October and November in Las Vegas. The weather is great that time of the year. In the past we have stayed at the Oasis RV Resort on Windmill. Last winter we discovered the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort on Arville. They’re not very far apart, just on opposite sides of Interstate 15. From now on LVM Resort is where we will stay when in Las Vegas.
It’s just far enough away from the freeway that you can’t hear any traffic At Oasis my wife was sometimes bothered by the freeway noise. When you drive into the resort, you’re immediately impressed by the tall trees, beautiful landscaping and attention to detail. You get the impression of a Palm Springs or Beverly Hills neighborhood where wealthy people live. You enter through the front security gate. The gate is manned 24 hours a day. At night a second guard cruises the streets in a golf cart and sometimes on foot. The property is walled on all sides.
This is an ownership resort. Like any RV park, you can rent a spot for a day, a week, a month, or longer. You can also buy a site and own it year around. It’s a condominium style setup with an owners association. Owners put their lots in the rental pool run by the association when they’re not using it. Not all do, just the ones that want. The rental income is split with the site owner. Other people leave their motorhome parked year around and fly or drive in a few times a year using it like a vacation condominium.
All standard sites are 35' by 80' with a 20' by 65' concrete pad--big enough to accommodate any size coach. Lots on turns and corners are larger. Since this is an ownership resort most of the lots have improvements. These can range from just nice added landscaping to custom outdoor patios, shade palapas, dining areas, barbeques, televisions, sinks with running water and refrigerators. You name it. No two lots are exactly the same. There are a some sites that have no improvements but they’re still very nice. A completely untouched lot as originally sold comes with a large palm tree, a nice grass area, and miscellaneous landscaping.
In the center of the park, near the entrance is a 10,000 square foot two story clubhouse. It’s used for various events, get-togethers, dinners, dances, and other activities. This central area has a large resort style swimming pool, hot tubs, tennis courts, putting golf course, spa and fitness center with weights and a sauna, pool/billiards room, game rooms, private cocktail bar, library, indoor and outdoor kitchens, and several outdoor seating areas. In addition to the central swimming pool there are four smaller pools in the resort along with showers and laundry facilities. Near the office and check-in desk there is a 50's style diner with good food. It’s open for breakfast and lunch.
This is a class A motorhome only park. As you would expect in an upscale resort, there many expensive coaches, some worth over a million dollars. There are also many normal everyday Fleetwoods and Winnebagos. I have seen older gas coaches (in good condition) come in right behind new Prevosts. The people here are friendly and not stuck up. Expect to wave at most people as you drive by.
There’s plenty of shopping within walking distance and the Silverton Casino and Lodge and Bass Pro Shop would be a long (about a mile) walk. Some nearby businesses include Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, US Bank, Kohl’s, Ross Dress for Less, Big Lots, GNC, Radio Shack, Cost Plus, Dollar Tree, Petco, Office Depot, Discount Tire, Meineke, Famous Dave’s Barbeque, Café Rio Mexican Cantina, Brando's Sports Bar, Lee’s Liquor, Target, Albertsons, Walgreens, Einstein Bros Bagels, In & Out Burger, and virtually every fast food restaurant.
I highly recommend LVM Resort to anyone. It’s a few dollars more than Oasis but it’s more...
Read moreWe stayed at the Las Vegas Motor Coach Resort, 8175 Arville St, Las Vegas, NV 89139 from June 10 to June 12, 2025. We were traveling in a group of 4 couples, each with a motor home and we all got sites near each other. The sites were beautiful BUT our time there was interrupted in the most aggressive and foul way by the man staying in site 143. IF you are even considering staying at this motorhome resort, BE SURE to ask if the crazy man with the Doberman pincher who is let loose to roam the street after dark is still there. And BE SURE not to book a site on that street or anywhere near site 143, especially if you are traveling with your dog(s). ||||Twice while we were there, the Doberman ran out into the street, growling at our dogs as we were walking them on a leash. The rule on the property is to have dogs leashed at all times. This man in 143 doesn’t believe in following any of the rules. The dog scaring us and threatening to harm our dogs or us was bad enough BUT the man was the worst part of our experience there. We yelled to him to get his dog inside and he yelled profanities of the worst kind to my husband I can’t even repeat what was said. He was a repulsive human being. We filed a complaint against this man twice during our stay. The last time, we insisted that security come to our location and insisted that the security guard call 911 for the police and also call Animal Control, which she did. I was grateful for her assistance.||||The police did nothing. Animal control talked to him and complaints were filed but we have no idea of the outcome. What bothers us so much about this establishment is that the OFFICE of the home owners organization said they were meeting with this man the next day and were going to fine him $1,000 for the first complaint and we hoped there would be an additional fine for the second complaint we filed. We specifically told the office that we would hold off on making a complaint on social media sites until we heard from them about the outcome of the meeting they had with this repulsive man in 143. We waited 2 weeks and we have not heard anything from this motorhome organization.||||Despite their beautiful property, they do very little to nothing to ensure the rules are followed by people that live there who repeatedly violate the rules. They have no power apparently to ensure the safety of their guests when they allow a disrespectful man let his Doberman pincher loose during the night hours to harass and potentially harm other dogs or people staying on the property. ||||We will never stay there again and we will never recommend others to stay there. The management is incompetent and violators have all the power in this...
