$100 for two standard ayce... My experience at this restaurant has been haunting my dreams the last few nights as it was probably the worst sushi I've ever had in Las Vegas. I should have known that it was a potential issue when I walked in and there was only one other table with people eating and that they have a desperate amouny of happy hour and other specials. I was really hoping that it was going to be great and be my new spot but it unfortunately wasn't.
First they have two options, standard sushi for $35 and premium for $45. Already $3-5 then the superior sushi places with a standard menu. Next was the fact that yuzu yellowtail was considered a premium when it's standard everywhere else as well as salmon belly which is at least a 1 order per person at others.
Presentation - legitimately the worst looking nigiri presentation I've ever seen. They sliced and dropped not caring if it didn't wrap around the rice or wrinkled.
Taste- Tempura batter looks like Popeyes breading and wasn't tasting. Jalapeno bombs were probably the best thing I had. They put so many sauces on everything and they're super sweet. Then they got my order wrong and gave me one of the Hawaiians that had mayo and crab when I specifically asked for no mayo sauces. Mind you there's a Hawaiian roll and flying Hawaiian so they just got it wrong. But even when they brought The right one and the fluery I ordered, they weren't good. The nigiri wasn't either. It was bland and dry tbh And with the lack of patrons I kind of question how old it was. We actually stopped after that even tho we weren't full because the quality was bad.
The service was pretty good as they were quick and polite even if they got the order wrong so one star is warranted. Somehow 2 " $35 charges plus tax totaled to $79 something so more than tax.. meaning they have some BS charge on top plus 20% tip was $100. I have legitimately been wondering if I can fight the charge on my Amex because it felt like I was...
Read moreAs a big fan of sushi, I was excited to visit this newly opened spot with my husband during lunch. We ordered the Premium AYCE sushi and were pleasantly surprised by the unique atmosphere, menu, and attentive service — so much so that I confidently recommended this place to friends.
Unfortunately, when we returned for dinner with our family and again ordered the Premium AYCE sushi (for three), the experience completely changed — and not for the better. It became one of the worst sushi experiences we've had in Las Vegas. Here's why:
1.The food took an unusually long time to arrive.
2.The service was noticeably slow. While placing our order, the server kept stepping away to assist other tables, making it hard to complete our order smoothly.
3.Most disappointing of all: we were charged extra for the leftover food. We had one roll and four pieces of sushi left.
I understand that most AYCE (All You Can Eat) places include a policy about extra charges for uneaten food — and that’s fair. However, in all the AYCE sushi restaurants we’ve been to in Las Vegas, we have never actually been charged for leftovers.
When we asked for the check, the server told us we had to finish all the food before they could bring it. After we did, the check came with charges for the remaining four pieces of sushi and one roll — without any explanation or prior notice.
To be clear, I am not against paying for leftover food if that’s the restaurant's policy. But it’s the responsibility of the staff to explain this rule clearly and politely, so that customers understand and feel respected.
If the server had kindly explained the policy, perhaps even offering to pack the leftover roll and suggesting we pay just for that — I would’ve happily agreed and paid the extra amount, including a full tip, without hesitation.
Instead, the staff’s attitude felt dismissive and left a really bad impression. We left after paying in full for the leftover food, but with the decision...
Read moreWe had the premium AYCE at 45/person on a Sunday around 11:30 am. Fresh, quality fish, so many choices that everyone will love. They know their sushi… their nigiri has generous amount of fish and little sushi rice, it’s really done right. The sushi rolls were fresh, light, and clean to the palate. One thing I noticed, their sushi rolls are not overwhelmed with heavy sauces and heavy cuts inside the rolls. So refined and clean even the plating is clean. Kudos to the solo sushi chef who managed to get the orders out for everybody and still served it nicely on the plate. He was eventually joined by another sushi chef. When we walked in and waited for our food, there was only 1 server and a few patrons, eventually another server was around to help. I still gave our server a 5 star. She was pleasant, friendly and apologetic. She was handling several tables and that can be overwhelming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very clean, spacious, bright, TV screens against the walls were on and muted which was good thing. One of my faves— nachos with chunks of tuna. If they can go easy on the sweet sauce but still amazing!!! I did not see any desserts on the menu. Not a deal breaker. I’m a huge fan of...
