I am often times quite delayed when writing responses and reviews about my experience with a particular establishment. However, in this case, I thought it necessary to write my review right away so as not to forget any details. The one-star rating that you see for this restaurant has nothing to do with the taste of the food or quality of the food. No. It has to do with the extremely unprofessional and very poor customer service I received at this establishment last night!
I was actually deeply saddened and very disappointed to have been treated the way I was by the staff. No one was wearing a name tag except one gentleman by the name of Gerald. Frankly, as far as I'm concerned, he was really the only one who actually treated me like a human being. The older woman you see in the photos, whom I believe was the manager on duty last night, was the worst culprit of all of them! Let me start from the beginning
I walked into the restaurant at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening, December 13th. Initially, I was greeted by a young lady (again... no name tag) who you will also see in my videos or in the photos. At first, she was quite nice! She asked if I was there for a pickup, but I told her no, I was just waiting to order. She told me to wait approximately 4 or 5 minutes because they were super busy in the back. I guess they were dealing with online orders and the drive-thru or whatever.
Anyway, while waiting there patiently at the desk, that's when things went awry! The manager of that group came out to me and said, "Are you here for a pick up?!" I told her the same thing I told the first young lady. Then, that same woman who I guess was a manager aggressively said to me, "Well, honey, can you just use the kiosk over there? We use the kiosks for ordering; not here at the counter. We are way too busy back here, and there aren't enough of us. It's better if you order at the kiosk."
Soooo, per her request, I went over to the kiosk to make my order. Now, as you can see, I'm literally writing a review via my mobile device. Why this matters is because this is a testament to the fact that I do understand technology. And while I am not Bill Gates with technology, I understand it enough to get around. The relevance is that I, of course, ran into a bit of a snag with the kiosk trying to insert a coupon, followed by some additional items. Ultimately, I trying to do it on my own did not work.
I walked back over to the counter, and that's when things got worse! The same younger lady whispered something to Gerald, and that's when he finally addressed me and said, "Sir, can I help you with something?" I explained that I was having trouble using the kiosk and needed a bit of assistance with ordering some additional items outside of my coupon. He at least gave me some reassurance that he would help me shortly, but that I would have to wait until he was finished with those orders. I gave up waiting and just completely changed my order.
I can't give you the exact context because I didn't hear what the person in the Drive-Thru said, but the response from the manager was her saying this: "Well, let them know it's going to be a 30-minute wait because that's not how we do things here!" I found this relevant to mention because it corroborates everything I said about my treatment overall. I must say that I was very disappointed in last night's customer service. It's really enough to encourage me to never spend another penny at this location. When I saw that a brand new Popeye's establishment opened in that Henderson area, I was happy because I used to live near there and know the area well! That is not the treatment I am accustomed to from Popeye's.
Through all of this, my order was still not correct! I asked for half regular and half spicy chicken tenders. They gave me all regular. I think I spent approximately 35 or $40 last night. I bought food for a friend of mine and myself. It's truly a shame because Popeyes tends to have pretty good food! I guess if you want to eat food at this location, don't expect good service....
Read moreThis is the nastiest and most disgusting Popeyes on this planet. Everyone has told me Popeyes is the best chicken ever but absolutely not. This store has FOREVER ruined my thoughts and viewpoint on Popeyes and thus store is the only store I have gotten Popeyes from. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION EVERâŚ. The employees will tamper and eat your food, they will purposely forget half your order than claim everything was inside. Every single person working at this location should be fired and permanently banned from working with how much they disrespect customers and our orders. This is my 3rd time ordering from Popeyes and I got a 1/4lb POUND of shrimp to find out I was only given 1/8lb POUND of shrimp. The 2nd ordering I got 2 hour old cooked chicken they found behind the oven. The 1st order I made online and they forced me to wait in a 10 car line in the drive through to be told âYou have to come inside to pickup online orders so we can confirm the orderâ I walk inside pissed after waiting 20 minutes for them to hand me my food and not confirm anything the. To find out when I get back home half my order...
Read moreStopped by to pickup a delivery order. I Recently left the restaurant industry but observing the team here, and how they work, made me miss the environment.
Every single person was hustling and moving with purpose. The female who was in charge (I think- based on being the one calling for things from others) was friendly but firm with her team and they all seemed happy to be there (even though they were slammed with orders). I then observed a gentleman in a polo multitasking and taking orders while prepping food, and maintaining amazing friendly tone in his voice while doing multiple things at once. Before leaving I asked for the leaders name and found out that gentleman was Chad and owned the restaurant. I havenât eaten Popeyes myself for a long time because the location I had visited (different location) kept messing up/having bad service. This location however was A-GAME, and I canât wait to come back to order food for...
