IT GOT BETTER!! :) EVERY TIME we order, we find in our bags, either no napkins, napkins at the bottom underneath all the food, and/or our food poorly wrapped and dumped out everywhere within the bag, fry bag half full....all the fries spewed anywhere BUT the envelope they SHOULD ALL be served in. I don't appreciate napkins (when they actually put them in) being on the bottom of the bag. The FIRST thing I like to take out is the napkin, as I like to lay the fries onto it. But can't do this when all the food is piled up on top of them. I don't like putting my fries directly onto a table without a napkin below. They stick out of the package and are greasy. Much more sanitary to use a napkin but can't get to the napkin without first pulling everything else out of the bag. This is both sloppy and annoying of McDonald's. Also last week, found a long black hair hanging out of my bag of fries, all bagged together in the $5 meal deal that my roommate bought for and brought home. I don't have long black hair and neither does my roommate who is bald! Called McDonald's to complain, threw the whole meal away being it was all contaminated being in same bag, let alone TERRIBLY GROSSED OUT! They said they would replace the meal by sending a coupon in the mail but all I got was a large fry! How does this refund my meal when I order to use the fry coupon, I would ALSO have to spend ADDITIONAL MONEY to buy a sandwich and drink to go with it????!!!!! The food with the hair in it WAS PART OF A COMBO MEAL!!! AND was the cheapest combo meal they offer....so how is it that McDonald's is so greedy and cheap that they can't even replace a friggin $5 meal???!!!! By only giving me a fry, they're actually causing me to have to PAY ADDITIONAL money that what was even ORIGINALLY SPENT buying the meal THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Why should I have to PAY for THEIR MISTAKE and also why SHOULD THEY GET TO PROFIT from THEIR MISTAKE and RIP OFF of a customer??? This is some of the WORST BUSINESS ETHICS I have EVER SEEN!!! I felt ripped off when I found the hair and DIDN'T GET any lunch that day. And I felt RIPPED OFF AGAIN A SECOND TIME, when they couldn't even compensate adequately!!! I have called corporate on the incident, and also telling EVERYONE I know how terrible their service has been!!!...
**Changed my review from 1 to 4 Stars. After this incident, the manager called me and fully corrected the situation. She was very nice and sent me compensation for my meal and also told me to keep the free fry coupon when I offered to send it back. I received a free combo coupon a few days later. Priced too high for fast food, no good deals offered unless you use the app but that is discriminate towards people who choose, or have no other way, but to order the traditional way. No matter how a person orders, WE ARE ALL PAYING CUSTOMERS and deserve to be treated fairly! ANY and ALL deals should be made available for EVERYONE, NO MATTER HOW THEY ORDER! I tried the app and didn't like it, was hard to understand, made my phone too slow, kept crashing and didn't allow me to choose things like drink size, etc. Ended up feeling like it was more bother than it was worth, uninstalled it and just went and ordered my food at the drive-thru, MUCH EASIER! As a paying customer, I don't appreciate being forced to use an app to get a deal! The deal offered wasn't worth the time and trouble to use the app. And McDonald's used to have a great price value but they are getting more and more stingy that way. Every fast food place is bad for trying to force people to use their app for the good deals but at least a lot of places still have SOME deals for traditional customers and SOME items that are decent value but today I found NONE OF THIS at McDonald's. Read moreWe waited for someone to wait on us, which took longer than expected because of the workers "chit-chatting" amongst themselves. When an older gal finally took our order, she got it wrong several times and seemed very flustered. Have seen her here last year so she is not new. Then I went to see what was taking so long with our order and there was most of our order sitting on the tray right next to the cash register getting cold. Had the receipt and was checking my order and she says right on front of a customer, "THAT'S NOT YOUR ORDER!" and it WAS my order missing one sausage McMuffin, which she said she was waiting for it. So, having worked as a team leader at a McDonald's in Raleigh, NC myself, I know what should and shouldn't be done. And the grill person and sandwich makers were NOT wearing any gloves, like the law says as well as "Safe Serve". This McDonald's rates VERY LOW on CUSTOMER SERVICE, knowledge of basic food service policies and practices and speed to get the order to the customer. WON'T EVER GO BACK TO THIS...
