FIRANGI — Restaurant in Escondido

Our first time to try this new restaurant in downtown Escondido. It is amazing! This is probably the best Indian food we have found in Southern California. And now we have it right here in Escondido! We are both foodies, picky about quality, and my husband is a world traveler for many years and knows Indian food quite well. Their food is SO fresh tasting, with authentic ingredients, and absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful green Rogan Josh with lamb as our main course. Excellent. And the fresh made garlic naan was out of this world! We would call this Punjabi style Indian food. Spice level just perfect. The service was impeccable. Our server, Preet, was gracious and helpful and she did everything she could to make our dining experience excellent. They've only recently opened, yet the place has worked out all the bugs that new restaurants typically have, and is doing a superb job already. Oh, one more thing: In addition to the food being excellent, the cocktails are craft cocktails and made with fresh ingredients. Wonderful! Also extremely reasonably priced. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Firangi Indian Restaurant in San Diego with a group of friends who were in town for Cisco Live. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding.

The food was absolutely delicious, with a diverse and extensive menu that caters exceptionally well to both vegetarians and vegans. We sampled several dishes, each one more flavorful than the last. Their mocktails were a highlight—expertly crafted and refreshingly delicious.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy an evening with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
