Literally the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I didn’t think that was possible to experience in San Diego but it is. The guy at the front is very nice but I should have realized they were dead empty for a reason. I literally have no idea how this place is still in business lol. Almost $15 for a small rolled taco plate and a water. Portions were skimpy. Everything was super bland. It’s like they just fried frozen microwave food and slapped canned refried beans on the plate. No flavor.. and I don’t mean they lightly seasoned.. there was NO flavor. Not even salt! I should have just gone to the El Pollo Loco across the parking lot. Taco Bell or Jack in the Box would have been 4x better. This food was so bad and such a disgrace to all of Mexico that it made me want to cry after eating it. Very depressing.

Ate here today for lunch, pretty great! I highly recommend the Tlayuda "mixta". It has three types of meat on a massive crispy tortilla with beans, quesito and cabbage. This thing is big enough for two and was really good. Will definitely be back for this alone!

I decided to go here for Mexican because it was right on my way home and didn't want to go out of my way for my other favorite place. So I stopped and I bought for my family. I bought rolled tacos, bean burritos x2 kids meal, and a quesadilla. I grabbed my things thinking that it was really fast service, lucky me! So I go home..I live up on the mountain quite a distance from town (Escondido). So I get home and start taking things out of the bag. I did not get my quesadilla at all. I was super disappointed in the rolled tacos. Don't you hate when they over cook them and the meat in the taco turns incredibly hard? Well that's what happened,I didn't even eat them. Bean and cheese burritos were decent. The salsa was not the best. And I couldn't help but think how fast I got my food,I mean it was too fast like they don't even cook back there and everything is already ready to go. A $45 order should be done right and shouldn't take 5 minutes or less to make. Wouldn't go here...

Just went there today have been to this several times before. The guy in front is a cheap racist! I was standing in front of him ready to order and he decides to ignore me to take the guy behind me's order in Spanish. Prob thought I didn't understand. Rude! The only reason I come here is for their good salsas. However they have moved all salsa cups to behind the counter so u have to ask for EXACTLY how many cups u want! Then he gives me the tiny cups even though the standard size cups are sitting right there. Didn't know tomatoes and chiles were so expensive you had to ration the portions????? Sad to say we will not be returning to this racist place! Go to Tacos Alex in San Marcos much friendlier, appreciative staff amazing tacos and as much salsa...
