Always good food, Big portions, too! The staff is always friendly and helpful.
They use whole pintos in the burritos and they heat the tortillas on the flat-top. The effect is a big ole burrito with good texture in a tortilla with a nice toasty flavor. Perfect! Contrast that with the rubbery, steamed tortillas filled with greasy bean paste and soggy onions that you get at other places. Yikes!
I recommend the huevos rancheros breakfast burrito and either the chili verde or the adobada for lunch or dinner. For a true Mexican flavor and experience, try the lengua (beef tongue). It's tender and delicious. Imagine the beefiest, most tender pot roast you have ever had, elevated with Mexican spices. Yeah, it's like that.
But wait, there's more! The tacos are done right - street style. Two soft warm corn tortillas, a stack of meat, lime and pico de gallo. If you like menudo, theirs is very good. The tripe is tender and well seasoned - they do it right.
To top it all off, the restaurants are clean and tidy. I have had some good Mexican food in places that are really pretty run down. That is not the case with Burrito Amigos - great food, clean restaurant.

Read moreMy love of Burrito Amigos began nearly ten years ago. I stopped by on my way to work one day and got a chorizo and link sausage breakfast burrito. From that point on I was hooked. It was almost a daily ritual for me up until the point I had to move for work.
Fast forward to today. I'm down I'm Eugene visiting family and drive past this same old shop and the craving hits. So I stop. Order my favorite...
It's just as good as I remembered from a decade ago. Chorizo flavorful and not greasy. Sausage cooked perfect. Eggs seasoned just right. Everything I could hope for. It not only satisfied my nostalgia, it reignited my passion for these delicious breakfast burritos.
The only down side: I have to go back to Seattle today and leave these beautiful creations...
Read moreSo I eat from this place all the time. Good food for a good price. Convenient to my house. Never have had a problem. The other day I ordered a breakfast burruito with sausage. I pick it up. So glad I opened up the burruito cus I'm pregnant and the sausage is straight pink on the inside. I call them and asked them to make me a new one. Guy tells me they get their sausage precooked that way and it's going to be the same. I ended up just getting a totally different burruito. Staff was able to make me happy but now I'm concerned about where they're getting their products from. Undercooked pork can contain food born Illness and this stuff was straight pink and their serving it that way. Probably still going to eat here but highly don't recommend...
