Iāve been going to Nekter for a few years now and I LOVE their juices, smoothies, aƧaĆ bowls, everything. The prices are a little high but I donāt mind paying because thatās about the standard price for other places. However over the past few visits each time my experience is worse. I usually order ahead through their app and when I get there to pick it up, I have to try and get someoneās attention to help me. Thereās usually around 5-6 people working (at least when Iāve been there) and theyāre too busy talking to each other, with their backs turned, to greet any customers. Itās usually loud in there because of the blenders constantly going so itās hard to get their attention by saying something. Iāve waited upwards of 10-15 minutes before someone finally asked me if I needed help. After waiting, theyāre nothing but rude and act like youāve inconvenienced them for coming in. I understand that working in any kind of food service/ customer service is stressful, especially during these times. But these employees hardly do the bare minimum, and I leave feeling like I wasnāt welcome in the first place. I recommend going to Vitality Bowls around the corner. Amazing employees, fantastic rewards system, and their smoothies and aƧaĆ bowls are consistently great! Plus theyāre cheaper and have just as quality (if not better)...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreConsistency needs to be taken seriously here. You canāt sell people pricy smoothies and not deliver consistency. If you have employees who donāt care about consistency, retrain them or fire them.
I had the Pink Flamingo one day and it tasted amazing! So, then, how is it possible that the very next day it tasted terrible and diluted? The first flavor note I was hit with was water/ice, then offensively subtle notes of fruit. The smoothie tasted like the Pink Flamingoās sad, diluted, diet version cousin.
The employee who made my smoothie the second day wasnāt using measurements, was distracted, and overall did not put an iota of care into making my drink. When I called to complain to the manager he seemed just as careless and essentially gave me the whole, āperhaps itās your fault; weāre only human; donāt expect the ingredients to taste the same, blah blahā spiel. Uh. Iām not trying to hear any of that when the employee who made my smoothie (1) didnāt use measurements and (2) didnāt seem like she cared and (3) Nekter is supposed to be high-end and (4) your products are pricy. I asked if I could basically have my next Pink Flamingo on them, he told me no. So, expect inconsistency and lack of care/accountability and money wasted. I guess this is how Oregon gets down. As a New Yorker, this type of thing would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the exact same expierence as Cam White - really inconsistent quality on the Pink Flamingo, the first two were delicious but the third one was basically ice in a cup. Iām not going again until they make changes. Been going to tons of Nekter locations, at least 5 others, and this is the only one Iāve ever had this (or any) problem at. The manager refused to fix my expierence, gave me a dollar off which was pretty much a spit in the face for a $9 drink. He gave me the exact same āweāre only humanā spiel and he even added that the Pink Flamingo was āpretty hard to mess upā; I thought maybe mine was a one-off expierence, but clearly based on the reviews, theyāre managing to mess up an āeasy drinkā consistently. Totally unacceptable for a 9$ drink, I feel like Iāve been robbed. Sorry but this is the real world, and your staff being human is not an acceptable excuse for my 9 dollars going down the drain. Iād advise you to avoid this place unless you like being randomly disappointed by people who refuse to fix the problem. Iām really sad too because Nekter was my favorite place to grab a smoothie in multiple...
