I did a lot of research before booking this hotel for my boyfriend and I to stay for an evening. I didn't know what to expect, but was hopeful based on the numerous raving reviews I had read. I did read that the hotel was kind of in the industry part of town, so I wasn't suprised by that, and I also read that the check in was on the 2nd floor. Which addmittatly is kind of weird, but it was fine. We just left our luggage in the car before we checked in, and went to go get it after.
We were arrived about a half hour before check in time, and were greeted by the friendliest front desk attendent. He was very helpful, told us about the hotel, and even asked if we had a preference on the floor we wanted to stay. We requested the top floor, and so he told us he put us on the top floor in a quiet corner of the hotel.
Once we got into our room, we looked around and were amazed with how clean it was. The decor was very modern and sleek. I loved all the sayings that were posted everywhere including on the bed and on the bathroom door. Our room included some work out equipment (yoga mats, some resistance training equipment and a yoga ball). It also included some instructions on how to use the equipment which I thought was nice. We didn't end up using any of the equipment, but I did like that it was there as an option, and if we didn't want to use it, it was out of the way.
The bed was so very comfortable, the pillows were heavenly, and the sheets felt and smelled clean. The rest of the room including the bathroom was spotless. The shower was spacious, and the bathroom was actually quite roomy.
We also visited the hot tub and pool on the 1st floor. It seemed very clean, and wasn't very crowded. They offer towels on a shelf in the pool area, I kind of wished those had been the beach size towels, but they were smaller than our room towels we had brought down. That was my only negative about that experience.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay. We are talking about coming to visit again to go see the Ducks play, and I think we will look into staying at this hotel over and over again, assuming it stays within a reasonable price. I have also already started telling my friends about it.
Thank you for the great stay! We...
Read moreThis is not a question it's a review. I checked in online around 1 o'clock this afternoon for the Even hotel in Eugene Oregon. I arrived a little after five only to find out that my requests were not taken, which is to be on the top floor near the elevator. I'm 70 years old and it's getting difficult. I'm also a platinum elite member and an ambassador member. I was told by the woman at the gas if there was no way I could get a room on the top floor. And I explained to her that I checked in at 1 o'clock that did not matter to her. She tried to buy me off with a free breakfast. And then gave me a room 374 which is the furthest from the elevator as you could possibly get in this hotel. There's a reason we fill out these request because of our ability to move around your hotel. I've had several problems with this over the last couple of months. Twice in the last two months, I've been put in rooms on the lower floors. And obviously you guys don't care about soundproofing anymore between floors. Twice I had to call the manager to ask that the people above me stopped running and dancing and pounding on the floor. The second one in another hotel was there was somebody up above me who was walking with bricks on stomping their feet for every step. Very poor construction very poor of your ability to try and save a nickel. I can't tell you how dissatisfied and disgraced I am with a company that I've been using for over years. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I'd like some kind of resolution to this problem. Otherwise I will start choosing other...
Read moreI wish I could rate this spot 11/10! The room, the amenities, the location!! Amazing!
I stayed in the suite with the cycle bike in it - this room did not disappointment! I walked in my room from a 7 hr drive and immediately hopped on for a ride. The bike was nice, smooth, and definitely gave me a great workout. On the TV, there’s a EVEN fitness option with different fitness videos to follow using the equipment provided. The room is bright, clean, up to date, and spacious. The TVs are clear, with good channels, and the sound is top notch versus those high pitched screechy sounds some hotel TVs have. The bed was very comfortable! I typically would not stay in a room close to the elevator but I said, whatever it’s one night and I did not hear the elevator or people all night.
I absolutely LOVED the healthy food options from Cork and Kale and the filtered water with lemon, lime, etc in the lobby. Quick easy access to healthy options is a huge plus for someone who tries to keep on track while traveling for business. The gym has exactly what you need for a good complete workout also!
This location is right off of the I5 and just a few short minutes from shopping like TJ Maxx/Homegoods and Nordstrom Rack. Also close to great restaurants, even a PF Chang’s near by. It’s quiet though, you won’t know you’re near major roads.
The lady at the front staff was very sweet and inviting. She greeted me immediately when the elevator opened - this is NOT common in hotels these days and I travel weekly.
I will...
