First visit here, as a couple.. we approached the front and were greeted and shared that it was our first time there. Thought we had to look at the overhead menu, two of three sections of it were back lit. We were asked for preference to sit and were seated with menus and our drink orders were taken. Visited the restroom, single occupancy, clean and wheelchair accessible. Being back at the table for a moment, not having taken a seat before visiting the ladies room, we were approached and asked what we would like to order, I wasn't sure so I ask for a moment. After a few minutes and having been able to decide, I moved my menu away and we waited for a handful of minutes longer before being approached again. Being hungry might make it feel like forever but I could challenge that it may have been ten minutes. My fault for not being ready to order. (Opportunity to learn from.) Our drinks were already given. My husband ordered a couple of by the slice pizza, and I ordered the baked Cannelloni with a side salad, house tomato vinaigrette on the side. Salad came out first. The salad was nicely presentable. I tasted the dressin to gauge how much to apply, it was to be used sparingly. It was very peppery like fresh ground peppercorns which I love, and definitely a tomato vinaigrette, but to me as I ate more of it with my salad, was very acidic with more consumption. I am glad I didn't overdo my use of it. Tried to tone it down with some powdered parmesan. Luckily the water that was settled beneath the salad as I neared the end would dilute that. Once done with the salad, my dish was taken and our bread with butter basket was brought out. Which after it was brought I had the thought that I would have liked to have had that with my salad. Just be careful, it may burn your fingertips too. Freshly removed from the oven. Shortly after the bread, my husbands pizza (2) by the slice came out.I then asked for a dish to enjoy the still warm garlic bread knot on. He was about done with the first slice when I observed that my pasta was removed fresh from the oven in the cute porcelain dish it's served in. As it was brought and my appetite was somewhat subdued by the salad and bread knot, I was patient to let the dish cool, despite seeing my husband was almost done with his second slice of the two. Towards the end of my dish (sorry for having no real comments on the dish other than it was mildly flavored and would be indifferent to it if a next time), we were again made welcome with a couple of cannoli's and our meal was done. We were given the opportunity to pay at the register. We did and thanked our hostess/waitress, who early on let us know she was new there, but she was very patient, listened, accommodated us, and was nice. We appreciated her and the experience. We were never made to feel rushed and were...
Read moreevery time we give this place a chance it never changes This place has been trash every time. THE ONLY THING THAT IS GOOD AT ALL IS THE PIZZA. when it wants to be. I don't know if I want to always blame the cooks even tho they have always been the same type of people every time. I don't know if its the same person or just a few different cooks. But there food is not good at all. I cant blame the cooks for everything because alot has to do with the owners. The chicken and meat is the worst and the pasta are very sloppy. Very hard to handle when I keep wasting my money on this place. When you eat in its a tiny bit better then take out. Take out is always the worst.. I am really upset with this place I finally am done giving this place a chance.. The only people that i see that deal with this place is very old ones. Not to be rude at all I am just stating that if you want really good clean Italian food do not go here. It might be next to your home but its not worth it. My kids have been food poisoned by this place 4 times so we just stick to the pizza because my mom still loves to eat there from time to time and she is a very unhealthy eater. I love food and this is just a disrespectful place that just take money but does nothing with the food. ALL THE YEARS HERE STILL THE SAME. how can u evolve and be blessed if you still keep cooking this way and using already frozen food just to re heat it and TRY make it satisfying for people to not notice and eat. I want my money back for the last 3 times even tho we have been here threw out the years the last 3 times are the worst ever.. But instead I finally am speaking the truth. I get it you need to make a living but as long as you keep this place of yours how it is. You will never truly have a heart for having a restaurant for the people. You just want our money. Its a shame and not a way to run your whole life business. GIVE TO THE PEOPLE LOVE AND WE WILL...
Read moreThe food wasn't what made me give this place one star, it was actually pretty good, however, the pizza we had was nothing to write home about especially if your home is in New York. Our server (mind you this isn't a full service establishment) was nice. The person who I assume is one of the owners was giving scowls in my general direction for what I assume were reasons I'd rather not get into in this review. So we ordered a large veggie with no black olives and extra cheese. The pizza came out and obviously had no extra cheese. This was not a big deal. I went up to the register and told our server that the pizza was good, however, there wasn't extra cheese as we had requested. She was nice and said that she would let "them" know and that she had put it on the ticket. I told her thank you and that it wasn't a big deal. No one ever came to talk to us. I continued to receive less than welcoming looks from the owner and some of the kitchen after that and when I went to pay there was still the extra $2 charge for extra cheese on our ticket. The owner came by the register as I paid and looked at me with no smile at all after I saw her smiling earlier with a large group that was gathered there. I paid and left and have no intention of ever going back despite the fact I wanted to try some of the pastas on their menu some other time. I have worked in the food service industry for 15 years now and that is not how you execute...
