From the moment I heard about Mrs. Linda's in Euless, my culinary curiosity was piqued, and my recent visit has left me in a state of blissful contentment. This quaint eatery, tucked away in the heart of the city, is a hidden gem for anyone seeking authentic and flavor-packed soul food.
As a devotee of well-crafted dishes, I couldn't resist the urge to sample a variety of what Mrs. Linda's had to offer. The standout dish was undoubtedly the fried chicken. It was a delightful symphony of textures – crispy on the outside while maintaining a succulent juiciness on the inside that had my taste buds singing with joy.
My husband's choice of the smothered pork chops was equally impressive, so tender it breaks apart with just a fork. Unfortunately, they had just run out of pork chops, but the staff was quick to compensate with a serving of Salisbury steak. This substitution was not just a mere replacement; it was a heavenly experience in its own right, adding a wonderful surprise to our meal.
The side dishes at Mrs. Linda's were a parade of comforting classics done right. The mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas, yams, greens, and an additional order of cabbage were all cooked to perfection. The yams, in particular, deserve a special mention. They struck the perfect balance of sweetness, satisfying the soul without overwhelming the palate.
For those who appreciate a well-rounded spice profile, Mrs. Linda's doesn't disappoint. (To preface, I love flavors, but my mouth can be wimpy at times.) While some dishes had a spicy kick, the yams were the perfect antidote, soothing any fiery flavors and creating a harmonious blend in every bite. Sorry there are no photos, the food looked and smelled so good I forgot to let my phone eat first.
The ambiance of the restaurant was serene and understated during our visit, which was surprising considering the high quality of the food. This tranquility only added to the overall experience, allowing the food to take center stage. It's evident that at Mrs. Linda's, there's a profound passion for the food served, reflected in every dish's depth of flavor.
In conclusion, Mrs. Linda's Soul Food is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven that beckons with its heartwarming dishes. If you find yourself anywhere near Euless, don't miss the opportunity to indulge in this soulful experience. It's more than a meal; it's a journey of flavors that resonates with the soul. The final say is 5 full stars...
Read moreWe're visiting from St.Louis.I called prior to our arrival to the place of business. Linda answered and said she wasn't at the establishment because she's out to lunch. (THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN MY FIRST RED FLAG). She sounded like a nice lady. Whilst reading the other reviews we were excited to endulge.. We arrived and was greeted by a friendly young man. (The chef). (Flag #2). We ordered. As we received our order the young man tells the family behind us they're out of containers and they'd have to wait until someone brought them seeing as he was the only employee present. My husband had to ask for hotsauce and eating utensils. We tipped the chef $5.00.As soon as I sat in the car and realized I didn't have any corn bread by looking in the bag. The macaroni seeped through the Styrofoam bowl. I took it in and asked him to change the bowl and request my piece of cornbread. He replied they're out of cornbread. Lastly, I tasted the food, let's just say it's nothing to write home about. My husband ordered the catfish, mashedpotatoes and rice. He said the potatoes were dry and the rice waa overcooked, and bland. I only ordered sides and kool-aid. I'm glad aboutthat. Our order was close to $40.00. He was nice and trying to hold down the fort. It would've been improper to ask for a refund, besides he was the only person working and others were waiting for his assistance. So rather than be apart of the problem we left. Would Not visit again. We tried to...

Not to be deterred discovers Linda’s Soul Food to go and called to inquire if they had fried chicken. They did. Yahoooo. Off we went.
Upon arrival and as we entered this little gem I just admit I was worried. It was dead and appeared only one person was working. We learned they only had 4 meat offerings, fried chicken, fried pork chops, meatloaf and fried catfish.
We were a bit disappointed when we learned they only had wings and legs for the fried chicken but moved on and placed an order.
I had the fried chicken legs, collard greens, fried cabbage and Mac n cheese. She opted for the fried pork chops and Mac n cheese.
The serving size are huge. 3 legs, 3 pork chops. Sides are plentiful.
Are you ready? Absolutely delicious. The fried pork chops were the best we have ever had out. The Fried chicken was equally as good. HOT. JUICY. Soooo good.
The Mac n cheese was better than Juicys. Cheesy and gooey goodness. I loved it. The collards were also better than Juicys….id argued one of the best I’ve ever had out. My mom would have been in heaven. Speaking of heaven…the Fried Cabbage is to die for…
