I finally went to Tutti Frutti yesterday after following them in one of my Facebook groups for a very long time. The place was bright, charming, and clean. When the owner realized I was a first time guest, he gave me 5 or 6 samples one right after the other as he explained that it is all made by hand in house. There are homemade dairy ice creams with fresh ingredient flavors, non-dairy sherbet options, and homemade popsicles. I sampled lime, coconut, mango, pumpkin spice, and white chocolate with cranberry swirl. I'd have been happy with any of them.
I often have corn in a styrofoam cup when I go to La Fiesta or Trader's Village, but this place brings it to a whole new level. It was the first time I ever had it with a base of corn chips underneath and my choice of hot sauces with my preferred level of heat. I loved the crunchiness. They have other food snack options as well, not just ice creams. The owner introduced himself as Jesús, but said he goes by "Chuy." Who could ever dislike Mr. Chuy? He's one of the kindest, sweetest, friendliest business owners in the whole city. I hope their business prospers so they can move to a more visible location with...
Read moreFresh and Delicious! I can't say enough good things about this place. The Tutti Chamoyada is what I have gotten the past 2 times I've been there. Delicious fruit ice cream with chamoy, fresh fruit, and extra goodies. They make their own fruit ice cream in store. It's so fresh and tastes very good. My favorite is the coconut! I also loved the mango and cantaloupe. The owner is so kind. I told him that I'd never been there before and he let me sample several things before I made my decision. Their aguas frescas - also fresh and delicious. I want to try their elote next time, and their popsicles. So many choices! Go give this...
Read moreIn our hunt for raspados, this little gem came up. The owner Chuy is warm and personable. His creations are delicious! We had a scoop of lime and guava with Tajin and Chuy’s chamoy - oh my gosh! So delicious! I love Tajin but not a fan of most chamoys, his chamoy was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. He won me over. We also had the pineapple guava Agua Fresca and an order of Conchitas Preparadas. So good! I wasn’t hungry but I took one bite and kept going bank. Thank goodness my husband and I were sharing it.
Try this place! We went for one thing, ended up with three. Muy...
