I stumbled upon YAKSA Restaurant & Bar today—and let me just say… wow! I used to love the old Palestine restaurant in this spot, and when it disappeared, I was heartbroken. But today? My faith in this location has been fully restored! Turns out, today was their soft opening, and I was their very first customer! 🥹 The staff treated me to a complimentary drink of my choice (I went with a lemon drop martini 🍋🍸) and made me feel so welcomed. This was my first time trying Nepalese cuisine, and I am officially a fan! Everything was delicious:
🍗 Chicken Pakora (starter—on the house!)
🍛 Chicken Biryani (huge portion—easily feeds 2–3)
🫓 Garlic Naan (perfection!) The ambiance is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the flavors are out of this world. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Y’all, do yourself a favor and check them out:

We were there on their opening day, August 2nd, and really loved the food, ambiance, and overall experience. We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to go back the next day to have selroti and achar, and also got a few pieces to go. The food was great when we dined in yesterday. However, today, while I was eating the selroti at home, I felt like I had bitten into a stone. When I spit it out to check, I found a tiny nut. I was shocked and concerned. I’m just glad I didn’t swallow it. I'm posting this here so you can be aware and avoid this kind of carelessness in the future. Thank you!

We were there on their opening day, August 2nd, and really loved the food, ambiance, and overall experience. Probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered my food on DoorDash and it took an hour and a half. I waited at the restaurant for an hour and 20 minutes. The wait staff was rude and ignored me, giving me attitude when I asked for updates on my order. Meanwhile, everyone else in the restaurant was being served and getting their food. A few times a guy working there came up to me and said “you haven’t gotten your order yet?” When I said no, he went back to the kitchen (presumably to check) and then nothing happened. When I finally got my food and got home, two items were missing from my order. A complete joke after all that time waiting. Food was greasy and tasteless. They gave me some useless DoorDash coupons as an apology for waiting. Will never...

This place is so good. Never had Nepalese food before but everything was delicious and flavorful. We had the garlic naan, Wai Wai noodles, fried trout, and the grilled chicken. Recommended all those things. The noodles were a surprising favorite of our table (it was like instant ramen noodles flavored to perfection). There were some other tasty looking items on the menu as well. The interior was nice and modern, definitely instagram worthy. Although we sat in a both, they had a fully stocked bar that had pretty much everything you could want, making it a perfect date night or after work hangout.
