Lion's Choice - Eureka — Restaurant in Eureka

I've always liked Lion's Choice, maybe more than Arby's - especially since Arby's got all snobby with their "meats" marketing and raised the prices while giving less meat.

Typically LC's sandwiches are cooked just right - tender, juicy, pink, full of flavor. And they are heavenly with a slice of Provel cheese. I could eat the large on a steak bun with Provel cheese every day if I could. But I have to retract just one star this time because this time my sandwich was extremely dry. Almost sawdust kind of dry. And the bun\cheese had a burnt smell to it. It still had good flavor, but I normally don't drink when I eat, but this time I had to drink quite a bit due to the dryness. Also the drive through person did not give my credit card back with either the meal, drinks, or receipt. Unfortunately I was distracted and in a rush otherwise I would have noticed sooner, but I had to make another trip back to get my card. Why didn't they hand it back with the receipt?

08/12/2023 I'm not one to complain unless when can make changes. If I wanted to share a bathroom with a biological male I would marry one. Please desonate assigned bathrooms. Nothing is more disgusting then to step in a man's dribbles and far worst sitting on them! Don't do this to women. We have enough to deal with. 01/10/2023 I bought 4 chicken tenders and it cost me $10. I could have gotten really good ones from Hardees for $8. 06/18/2022 I bought the Pull Pork sandwich w/ sweet potato fries. It had potential to be a good meal had the person working on Friday 06/18 around 4:40pm would have paid attention to the overcook fries and putting only a teaspoon of coleslaw on the sandwich. We all know we buy that sandwich for the coleslaw and overcooked fries are never good. The pull pork wasn't bad. Just needs to serve the food the way it's suppose to be. PAY...

4/24/25 UPDATE: THANK YOU for listening! I have been back a few times now (usually later at night after a LONG shift on my feet) and have been very impressed with the improvement! I look forward to the sweet tea again :)

ORIGINAL REVIEW ⭐⭐: We moved to Eureka 2 years ago from St. Charles and was excited to see a Lion's Choice so close to our new home. Service is always friendly, but over the past year I've been finding myself more disappointed in the food, specifically their sweet tea, more often than not. It takes like chemicals and is barely sweet.

Today I visited one of my old St. Charles locations and was shocked at how much better the sweet tea and even the fries were. I'm not sure what's up with this location, but please, PLEASE reach out to your St. Charles locations to figure out what they're doing...
