Two Pizzas
I bought two family size pizzas at Murphy’s Pizza in Henderson Center after walking our dog Coyote on the beach. On the way home I had one more stop to make at Winco. This became a dilemma since I would have to leave the pizzas alone with Coyote who was already scoping them out as belonging to her. Usually I save getting the pizza until last when running errands just to avoid this kind of situation. I had gotten two bags of cement on our route home so I figured I could cover the pizzas with a ground cloth and then lay one of the bags over the whole thing. Yeah, I figured they would be more squished but what could I do? I took the pizzas out of the back and stuck them on the roof while I arranged the spot to put them. They looked pretty good up there, far from Coyote, but it was way too tempting a place to leave them even for a minute. As I left I didn’t take a backward glance as I usually do to make sure Coyote and the car are good. On my way out from Winco, walking toward the car, I thought perhaps Coyote had nibbled on any bit of pizza that wasn’t directly under the cement bag but she wouldn’t get much at least. I felt good about the whole thing. I gave Coyote some hugs and then started loading stuff out of the cart and into the car. Something wasn’t right though….where were the dang pizzas? I ruled out Coyote pretty quick since there was no wrapping laying all over the place. Once when our other dog Bella had eaten six of those giant poppy seed muffins while I jogged back into Winco to get one more item, the inside of the car had been mayhem with stuff all over the place and cellophane stuck to the windows. With Coyote ruled out and Bella still back at home I realized I had left the pizzas on the top of the car! Doh! Someone had abscumed (sounds better than absconded) with them. I figured some homeless person. That was ok in a way, at least they would get a good meal. I also figured it could have been anyone. Anyone about to climb into their car noticing two lonely pizzas just crying for a home. I can imagine the thoughts going through someone’s head, “Well, I don’t usually steal but I was also taught to not look a gift horse in the mouth.” I went back to Murphy’s Pizza and ordered two more pizzas, them asking “back so soon”? We had a good laugh when I told them what a lame thing I had done. Well I have to give a shout out to Papa Murphys in Henderson Center. They made up the order again and wouldn’t let me pay for them. Dang...Thanks...
Read moreHad a sweet tooth so ordered some cookie dough and a cinnamon wheel for the family. Got there about 5 minutes after my order was supposed to ready and it wasn’t. No big deal though, things happen. I told the employee the name for my order and waited back while talking to a nice gentleman that was also waiting for his order. The employee then told me abruptly that they didn’t have my order. I said that was weird but maybe I accidentally placed it somewhere else. I was very polite and patient when speaking with this employee. I pulled up my digital receipt and showed him my order placed at their location. He said, and I quote “well I don’t know what to tell you, we don’t have your order.” I was very taken aback by this. I didn’t understand why he was being so rude to me. He then kind of just went on making pizzas and I had to continue to engage with him to get him to not just forget I was there. He then asked what I ordered so I told him, and then he went back to get the items. He put them on the front counter for me, very insincerely apologized, and said “people don’t order here unless they order pizza”. I said thank you, wished the gentleman a good evening and left. Very strange and rude encounter. Food was...
Read moreFemale manager on duty this afternoon has a very defensive attitude when you call to ask a question have to be honest Pizza still good always has been but customer service has really gotten zero stars and it's been that way for a few years now it doesn't matter if you're dealing with an average employee or a manager no one knows how to handle themselves properly hanging up on a customer and constantly correcting them and cutting them off when they're trying to ask a question is not appropriate telling them to weigh their pizza dough makes absolutely no sense once a pizza is made -customer service is a zero in my personal opinion & that's why they go through so many employees and managerial staff at that location every couple months Total silliness to call and ask a question about the pizza dough and then to be told I took your order you're wrong I'm right weigh the dough and then they...
