The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Eustis

I'm surprised that this place isn't always packed full of people, because their food is absolutely amazing! I came here a few days ago, after chatting with my physical therapist right next door. I was looking for a place with good food, and she recommended Honey Baked Ham! Mentioned something about a family meal for a reasonable price. I walked over after my appointment and ordered the family meal that came with 4 ham sandwiches, and 4 sides. The girl working in there was very helpful and sweet. I got home, and my fiancé and I pigged out. The food is so good that we are going to start coming here at least a few times a month. This is what a $16 lunch looks like!!! I have been coming to this Honey Baked Ham location for over 30 years, and I can honestly say that I won't be back. Boxed lunches are now called "meals," unless it's a catering order, and the price is ridiculous. It comes with a sandwich, chips, a cookie, and a drink. You used to be able to choose from a range of sides like potato salad or fruit with no upcharge, but I paid a $3 upcharge for broccoli salad because I don't eat chips. Oh, and the cookies...check out the picture. NO ONE in the restaurant would touch them. Every single one of them was burned. I can't believe they had them out for sale. I work right around the corner and have been quite a bit and it has really went downhill. Today I returned the broccoli to tell them I would like either fresh broccoli or they can just have it back. The lady told me it was fresh and made that day. I said I don’t want brown broccoli and bacon thats not crispy. She took it back did not offer to replace it or give me my money back. Then I asked for my chicken salad sandwich to be toasted and then when I was smashing it down with my fingers telling her I can’t even chew that bread she said well that’s why we don’t like to toast it. Very disappointed in the quality of the food and the customer service. Oh, and to top it off, their bathroom is out of service. So there’s nowhere to even wash your hands....
