It had been a long time waiting excitement anticipation of the long awaited Pizza Hut buffet. Upon arrival we noticed several employees vaping out back. When we enter the establishment we were not created we found the table we sat down first thing I noticed was the size of their all you can eat buffet which was very small and no longer contains desserts. There are no marinara cups for your marinara. Specialty pizza's can be ordered but a meat lover is apparently comes with everything on it which I don't believe is correct but according to the general manager it is correct. I noticed some very unclean objects that are commonly handled such as the crushed red pepper shaker. When I asked the waitress what she noticed about it she said nothing She noticed nothing. I called a manager over which was actually the general manager and he said and I quote "looks well used". I pointed out the grooved lining where it was rusted and dirty. These condiments have not been cleaned rotated or cared for in a proper manner. I handed him several others that I found on other tables. I find that their licenses are not properly displayed because why they are in the view of the consumer you have to look around the cooler to be able to see them and they are not visible enough to be read. I also noticed that they were collecting donations for a children's charity which I have to wonder if they are registered with the Department of agriculture as a representative to solicitive nations on behalf of that organization. The bottom line is I was still charged $63 for my party We were not impressed We will check their sanitation records and make an update to this post if necessary. We were not provided a bill I had to ask to see a bill before I cashed out. I don't think this Pizza Hut really has a clue and I'm not impressed and we will not be visiting this location again So please if you ask me to review this one I will not be back to do a review. I also observed water on the floor which is a safety hazard slip and fall risk and it was never a dressed by the General Manager or the server who walked across it multiple times and did nothing. Life kitchen gives them a 91% rating which is still an a I would have to bump that down to about 75%...
Read moreHad a really early morning the other day and went to Pizza Hut for their $10 lunch buffet just after 11. So, the buffet had just opened and we were the only folks there.
We were greeted warmly and asked to pick out our own seat and the server came right over. I had a clear bottle of water on me and was told I can't bring outside beverages. So, I said okay - no problem, I'll just order a water. I was then asked to remove the water bottle from the table and required to drink their free water. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but I enjoy water and I hate the taste of most restaurants tap water. I'd understand if I brought a soda or a Gatorade or anything flavored, taking potential money from their lunch profits...but I was a bit perplexed about me drinking my own water....and instead ordering a free water there.
Anyways, the buffet is extremely small (like maybe one person up there at a time) with a marinara sauce container, an Alfredo chicken pasta dish, a handful of bread sticks and cinnamon sticks and it also had two pizzas out (cheese, pepperoni, veggie), one half eaten and both of them seemed to have been made at some point much earlier - both just barely warm. Not fresh for the 11 o'clock start of the buffet. By the time more folks came in, the pizza was gone quickly.
I mean, for $10 it is what it is - great price, honestly. And it includes a really basic salad. We ate what was available to us initially but noticed that after 40 minutes or so pasted, finally, four new fresh pizzas were provided. Alternative thin crust and traditional crust of cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, veggie, and a beef and onion one. Since the slices are cut so thin we grabbed a fresh slice to end our visit. Super fresh, piping hot, tasted substantially better.
I guess the key is not to come at opening and hope that when you come closer to noon that a whole bunch of people aren't there so you don't have to wait around for food, since it took so long for fresh pizza to be provided.
Would I come...
Read moreAfter spending our weekend painting our house my fiance and I decided to order pizza rather than cook. We called the pizza hut in Eustis FL which is a mile from our house and the one we always go to. We were answered by a call service because they were really busy and didn't pick up in time. Never had this happen before. We placed our order for pick up and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When we went there to pick up the order my fiance who went in to get it was told that they didn't have our order and that it was ready for us at their MT.Dora location. When she came out and told me that I was quite mad and called the store though we were sitting in their parking lot. The manager ( Thea ) was very polite, professional, and patient being I was irate. She explained that our order was sent to the wrong store by the call center then offered to have our order ready in 10 minutes and did have it ready in that time. Not only did she rush our order despite being very busy but she also comped our meal. Prior to talking to her I was prepared to never patronize Pizza Hut again after 20+ years of doing so. She should be commended for her professionalism and for saving the company a customer. Thanks to her we will definitely be going back. I believe the cooperate office really needs to evaluate the call center they use as we were not the only customer there at that time that had problems. Another guy that was there was waiting because the call center put in the wring order for his and we were told that there were regularly problems due to call...
