DO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. Literally one of the WORST restaurant experiences in my life. My entire family would consider ourselves foodies. Traveling to large cities just to try different foods. Also I am mexican. And am very familiar with mexican food and the local mexican restaurants. I have tried multiple places. Hacienda was one I had tried years ago, not the one we had the horrible experience at. Which is on green river road. I remember not caring for it, so I hadn't tried it since then until tonight. We ordered 3 chicken on the beach, two if them with added chorizo. What we got was TWO chicken on the beach. One without the chorizo. Then one that was suppose to be a chicken on the beach with added chorizo. But turned out just being chorizo and rice. We literally got a chicken on the beach with NO CHICKEN! We also ordered a red potato wet burrito. Guess what? No red potatoes, and it was definitely not "wet". My Father-in-law eating it would call it a very DRY burrito. Ontop of the fact I ordered 2 rice and beans. Which, heads up, comes in an 8oz package. Ended up getting 2 12oz. Of each to make up the meal portion I expected. Honestly after all the explaining and back and forth. I was regretting not going to Los Bravos which was only 8 minutes away. And never disappoints. Or El maguey, Acapulco, Riviera, or honestly anywhere else. Taking a vote, we came to an agreement the food was bland. Which is NOT how mexican food should be. Even americanized mexican food. It was such a hassle, it's almost like they're stingy with their food. Which we came to find out when we had to PAY for chips. I mean come on... chips, really? After that my husband was over the place. He said the only thing that could make this worse is if the food fell out of the bottom of the bag. Which it didn't, but honestly I had lost my appetite. There were other things. But you get the point. Honestly if I could do zero stars, I would. The first giveaway was that there wasnt a Mexican in sight. Not even someone hispanic. Just a bunch of white people. Needless to say, I have zero faith they could redeem themselves. And would not...

Rarely ever do I get anything bad or bad service.
While they are known for their wet burrito, they should also be known for their chips and salsa. The best, IMO. They also have great food like chimis and quesadillas and tacos.
The recently new Food Truck Tacos are my favorite. If you order them though, make sure to ask for cheese because they don't come with cheese, for some reason.
Another great menu item is, the Flautas. Shredded chicken in large flour tortillas rolled and golden fried. Served with house-made southwestern ranch.
Something else that Hacienda may be known for is there margaritas. hacienda offers the regular and strawberry frozen margaritas, along with the orange cream margaritas; my favorite. but they also offer banana kiwi, blue raspberry, lemon drop, sour green apple, peach, wildberry, grape, watermelon, mango, and white cranberry. The darmstadt Evansville location offers a Ski margarita! Awesome!
hacienda offers a $5.99 lunch special every Monday through Friday from opening until 4 p.m. BBQ chicken sliders and fries, crunchy tacos, grilled burritos with black beans, tamales with your choice of soup and different soups and salads.
Hacienda also serves daily food specials so, if you're looking for a great place to eat, then...
Read moreGreat find, totally by accident. Tried to go to local and large BBQ restaurant first but no cars in parking lot even after webpage said it was open.. Sign on door said "No inside dining due to shortage of staff". So, driving around we found Haciendas and their parking lot was full!!
We were greeted by 3 lovely girls who were all smiles and even laughed at our poor attempts at jokes. They offered us a couple choices as to where to sit, and our waitress, "Leesa Jr." was there in seconds.
If she is this happy and pleasant everyday, she is blessed. She offered some suggestions, and took our order and in 30 seconds, we had chips and salsa.
Haciendas was packed, so it's not like we were the only table, she just knew how to properly manage tables.
Our food came out fast, it was pleasing to look at and better to eat. Wow! Leesa did good in her suggestions. Now I know why we saw so many to-go boxes when we came in. The portions are huge. I am no stranger to eating, but I could not finish all my food.
Sorry I didn't get pics. I was so ready to dig in when my food was placed in front of me.
We got dtink refills without asking, extra napkins, extra salsas,, just fantastic food and service.
Our meal was $37, and I tipped $50. That should tell...
