Hoosier Burger Co. (Inside Catfish Willy's) — Restaurant in Evansville

My husband LOVES burgers. I thought it would be a special treat for him if we were to get off the highway (we were driving through, on our way from Michigan to Oklahoma) to eat here but, sadly, it was anything but. The fries were cold, the shakes were watery, and the buns were soggy from the greasy meat; on top of that, one of the two burgers we ordered was made incorrectly. Because We were on the road, we couldn't go back; and, because they don't have a phone (BTW... what the HECK is up with THAT??), I couldn't call to speak with the manager.

After reading several reviews, we don't hold out much hope (if any) that the manager would have done anything, anyway... other than make up excuses, that is. I lost count of how many times he wrote "we're only human" in response to other customers who, also, had problems with their food. After about the 5th time reading that, my faith in his sincerity (rather, lack there of) took a nose dive.

TO THE MANAGER: PLEASE don't insult the intelligence of your customers by simply repeating your usual "we're only human". If you want to be successful in business (particularly, the fast food business), you really need to learn how to, at the very least, PRETEND to give a...

Visited Hoosier Burger Company for the first time. Paid a little over $10.00. Ordered the #1 which is Cheese Double Cheese burger combo. I upgraded to a large drink and Hoosier Fries. Easy to order the staff was very nice when ordering. The burger was cooked well just a tad messy but that was because of the sauce on it. So keep it wrapped ! Makes it easier. The Hooiser fries were good I love fried onions which is one of the toppings on the fries. And they have the Hooiser sauce on them as well. The sauce kind reminds me of thousand island dressing but better. Wait time wasnt bad it was long enough that it was cooked to order it seemed like. The tomato and lettuce that was on the burger was fresh and cleaned and appropriately sized for the burger. Before you leave the window make sure you check your bag that your order is right they don't do refunds or exchanges if you go away from the window there is a sign posted as well to remind people. Ok I hate to do it but they asked me to. Restaurants please listen. If someone orders a plain cheeseburger it is very very very important to deliver a plain cheeseburger. My son will NOT eat it any other way. Sometimes we can swap a bun or at home but he whines about it. We paid almost $8 for a plain cheeseburger to find it fully loaded when we got home. We don't have time to open every burger and double check that they are prepared properly in the drive thru. We do an item count and move on. We then get home and now the boy won't eat so we have an extra burger but I eat the double Grippos burger and there are maybe 5 chips worth of soggy chips on the burger. An hour later I got sick. My wife got tenders which she didn't like either. The fries however were good. I'm not trying to slam anyone but you have to do better. The speaker and microphone in the drive thru were messed up and made it hard to order but she did repeat plain double cheeseburger twice. All in all we spent too much for a bad experience.
