Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Evansville

I am torn about this review. I was going to rate it a four-star, but I don't think it deserves that. I think it deserves a five-star. I was only going to give it a four star because of the price, but if you look at other places to compare this to price wise it'll fall right in line with Jersey Mike's or five guys burgers. I really think Penn station has great subs. The cookies are great. They have one of the best hot subs that I've probably ever had. This location everyone was so friendly and treated us with such respect and took care of everything we needed.

The only "complaint" on one of our trips here was the fries were a little underdone, but I would not complain about...

We went in about an hour and a half before close and ordered three sandwiches (two meals). The store looked closed when we arrived, but went to look at the hours. An employee was cleaning, looked up and saw us, and opened the door. We looked at the menu and were rudely greeted by what looked like a male manager. They rushed us through ordering and paying. We got the a regular cheesesteak and chicken parm sandwich with a side of fries. The fries were the only thing we would want to come back for. The sandwiches were on the small side for regular sizes. The cheesesteak barely had any meat it in and the chicken parm was fine, not great, but not awful, just bland. The bread is probably the worst bread compared to a Jersey Mikes or Firehouse. Definitely not worth the money. A sandwich should be filled, instead they looked like pitiful...
